My grandparents lived near Monroe, Va. My grandmother passed away in Monroe, Va in 1916. Both my grandparents are buried nearby in a cemetery. I visited Monroe in 1952 and saw their graves. The cemetery was attached to a church but the church building was gone in 1952. I am trying to locate the cemetery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe this one?
Whitten Monelison Chapel 3966 South Amherst Highway Madison Heights, VA 24572 USA or Amherst Cemetery 126 Grandview Dr Amherst, VA 24521 or Briarwood Memorial Gardens 1823 S Amherst Hwy Amherst, VA 24595 I do not know of one in Monroe, but perhaps in 1950s one of these would have been located in Monroe? |
