Wouldn't it be cheaper to just move her family to Rome?

This isn't the governments responsibility. The proper thing is already in place, charity. Why even mention the government, it has nothing to do with them?
People are mentioning the government because our government rushes to help anyone else in the world anytime there is a tragedy...which doesn't make sense since none of those countries ever seem to come to our aide.

If our government can send millions of dollars to Haiti, a country that collapsed because an earthquake destroyed their already shoddily constructed buildings, then they should be able to get this american citizen home.

My son was also hurt in Italy and had to be flown home on a medical flight. He had bought insurance, which covered much of the $79,000 fee. I am also a nurse and would be willing to talk some time. My phone number is in the phone book under Bernard Sokolowski. We live in Strongsville, OH, so we are nearby.
