Bob,
Hunter was one of my best friends, I've known him for seven years, and I can tell you he wanted to go to Afghanistan. We've wanted to go to Afghanistan since we finished our first tour in Iraq. Partly to say we've been to both wars, and partly because we both knew that the whole reason we're fighting today originated there. I am personally slightly offended by using this forum to argue whether or not we should be there, but I am really upset with you resulting to throwing insults at others who are just here to show respect to Hunter, who deserves all the respect we can give.
Obviously you missed the part about me clarifying my very first statement and the other one about me being in the service as well. I'm slightly offended that you didn't read into a few more of these posts. I understand that he wanted to go. I RESPECT that. ME personally, I don't agree with this war or the one I fought in 20 years ago...but I went anyway right?

SSG Hunter was a great NCO, one we were fortunate to have on our team. The hole his absence has left is felt already. He will be missed.
So sorry for your loss. Know that your Brother in Arms is watching over you. Come home safely, and Thank you for your service.

My thoughts and prayers go out to James's family and friends. I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of knowing him from high school, he was in my graduating class. He was a very brave man and I feel so proud to know we have soldiers like him to fight for our country! He is a hero! God bless him, his family, and his friends!

I saw the news report today on Fox 8. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family. As a family member of a deployed soldier, I know the daily concern that faces us never knowing if we will be the next family that faces the possible loss of their son. My thoughts and prayers are with the Hunter family. I pray that you find peace and comfort that your son's sacrifice was not in vain but he is a true hero.

<quoted text>This is a public forum. Which means we can discuss whatever we like, regardless if it is ON or OFF subject. Yes I agree with you that this man fought and died for his country. The soldier and I have that in common. I fought for this country 20 years ago. I know what it's like first hand to lose a fellow soldier/friend. I have every right to express my opinion, along with EVERYONE else in here. No need to get defensive.
This was started to send Sympathy to the family of
Sgt. Hunter. PPl who want to discuss the war should start their own subject. I don't know any of these ppl but I don't think we should be there fighting their war, and again this should be started over because too many ppl got off the right subject

HE DIED IN THE SERVICE OF THE LORD. THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF MANY CONFLICTS TO COME. YOUR ENEMY LIES IN THE EAST, AND ELSEWHERE. THE FINAL BATTLE WILL BE AT A PLACE THAT IN THE HEBREW TONGUE IS CALLED ARMAGEDDON.
