that is just wrong to push a kid through home school. he is never gonna make it in the real world. good grades are nice but real world situations are a better learning experience than anything. is he going to live at home for life.

Probably not, but in a few years after earning a fortune, he will get all he needs and you will still be going to classes working on your 7 yr. degree and making minimum wage at the walmart....Why don't you hear strories like this from West Phila.?

There's the key: your DADDY got you a job because YOU can't do it on your OWN. Wake up and be responsible for YOURSELF... grow up

If you were my son I'd disown you and make you EARN your money and not have DADDY get you your job. Learn what life is all about -- hard work; take the silver spoon out of your mouth before it breaks all your teeth. Grow up NOW before it's too late.

Just the ones that have a daddy to take care of them and again that is so middle class...If daddy had real money you would be going to school in Europe or partying in Dubai.

Congratulations to Mattias and the family. By the way, sounds like some of you need to go back to school. Do you really think people care how much you make. That's great your father can help you get started in life, give you a job, but remember this, a degree and money do not make you anything. You are still going to have to work at proving your worth the degree and the money. College is more than book learning, it is life learning as well.

Yeah, let's all put down a kid who decided to make something out of his life; decided to pursue positive things in life, like an education instead of drugs, crime, living off the state, etc. Most of the kids today are not educated enough to do more than work a register that tells you how much change to give and then can't even give the right change back! Some people in our society need help. God help them.

Who said this kid was "pushed" through home school - just because he excelled and chose to get a really great education?? "is he going to live at home for life", what a comment coming from Reading, PA. By the way, I have been to Reading more times than I like to admit and more times then I ever want to be there and go there again! You want to talk about real world experience, I'm sure sitting on the porch from morning till night is one "real world" experience Mattias will NOT miss! Most of reading sits on the public welfare system having kid after kid. Shootings, killings, robbery, that is what the real world is like in most of Reading. The kids who are in the public schools now don't want to be there, and make it just about unbearable for the ones that do, which is probably why they might decide to be home schooled; at least give them a chance at a life not ruined by drugs, robbery and killing.

I agree. This kid may have a college degree at the age of 18, but he's a poon sandwich in my book. LOL!
