Ames to defend itself against victim's lawsuit
The city of Ames is pledging to defend itself against allegations that officers failed to prevent a woman from being shot by her ex-boyfriend. Tamela Montgomery sued the city and police officials in federal court Tuesday, contending they failed to arrest her ex-boyfriend Angenaldo Bailey after she complained he was violating a no-contact order.

I can't believe that any reputable lawyer would file such a frivolous lawsuit. The lawyer should be disbarred and I hope this animal does not get one thin dime. These people will file lawsuits for the most ridiculous reasons!
