I can't imagine what you must be going through as a parent. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your search for your son and the truth surrounding his disappearance.

Everyday I hear an update on Jon Lacino's disappearance and think how difficult this must be for his family. As a parent of a son Jon's age at ISU, I cant imagine having to face the challenges and sadness. I pray for comfort in the hearts of his family and friends. Jon's disappearance has effected the entire ISU student body, Ames community, and others beyond. May the search bring closure soon.

I pray that you find Jon safe and sound. The not knowing is the hardest thing a person can go through (I experienced this 17 years ago). May someone that knows something, please have the courage to step forward.

Our prayers are with you. I think many Iowans are following this investigation. As a parent, I can only imagine how awful this is for your family! We hope that Jon is found soon!

While some of these missing students are crime or accident victims a very few recover and return in altered mental states. If Lacina is a fugue victim he may be across the country by now.

Searches did not turn up any evidence locally. It is possible to interview his friends to determine if he had behaviors that would have caused Subliminal Distraction exposure.

No one has devised a search method for someone in an altered mental state with possible amnesia. They usually recover and return. Ahmad Arain, UCLA, emailed home from Mexico in six weeks. Matthew Wilson was arrested in Berkeley California, eight months after he drove away from Rice in Houston.

There are other cases on the Missing Students, Dissociative Fugue, and Mysterious Disappearances at VisionAndPsychosis_Net.

To all students: Don't let somebody walk home alone after they have had a few beers!!!
