This article is extremely misleading. The events of this Veishea were not "similar problems" to those that shut the celebration down for 2005. In the 2004 riots car were overturned, dumpsters lit on fire, parking meters and lamp posts were torn down and over 35 arrests were made for the damages. This Veishea was a fight were 4 people were arrested, there is no comparison that can be made.

There should be lawsuits filed by the building owners and those getting mace sprayed on that didn't cause chaos during the Veishea event against Iowa State for not giving up on the event. There is a culture of delay of Veishea being the thing of the past like it is in Cedar Rapids for the flood recovery.

If Bart Giamatti were the president of Iowa State because of riots during the Veishea event in years past the Veishea event would have been a thing of the past like Howard Cosell in 1989 saying if Giamatti were still alive because of an earthquake in the Bay area where the World Series was played Giamatti would have cancelled it. It is because Giamatti died a few weeks before the World Series being a baseball commissioner.

If the lawyers don't respond to lawsuits being asked to sue to take Veishea away for good for the building owners and those getting mace sprayed on that didn't cause problems after three strikes then nobody is ever going to force those groups not to sue the pants off the lawyers.

The lawyers should be called racists for not suing ISU for the benefit of the building owners and those getting mace sprayed on of those that didn't cause chaos during the Veishea events for the goal to take Veishea away.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aquarius

Keep calm and all will be well. You're feeling slightly fraught because there are so many demands on your time, and it won't help if you're trying to juggle some last-minute chores with some fun-filled social events. Get others to lend you a hand, or tell yourself that perfection is not an option right now and that you'll have to scale down your preparations accordingly.
