Three states now with SSM, plus pending probability in NY and NJ. Once CA gets past prop 8, I think the anti-SSM movement is finished.

Congrats Iowa! Thank you for being such a wonderful example for the Midwest states!

PS. I am sure Oklahoma will be one of the last, but I have high hopes!

Yes, bring out the bubbly and start up the music there is much to celebrate in Iowa and around the US!

May all the couples who go to Iowa and get legally married have long loving lives together, and as I said in another post:

Such wonderful news as this is a good step forward towards full equality for those of us in the GLBT community. It will take time, no one ever said that the road to equality was just a block long, but we will win full equal rights someday.

The next logical step will be for the Federal Government to throw out DOMA and DADT, and uphold the Fourteenth Amendment of the US Constitution.

ONE of the last? No, we'll be THE last. Oh, well... at least it's gonna come!

To HONOR Iowa for this GREAT achievement, I think we need to write a book called "700 Wonderful Gay Recipes Using ONLY Corn".

Agreed! Yet somehow, thanks to Iowa, my hopes for the future are a little higher.

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Cancer

You'll be happiest when you're with people who make you feel loved and cherished. You'll bend over backwards to keep them sweet, and will concede arguments and disputes for the sake of peace. Try not to make it peace at any price because that could be setting up problems with people who will then try to take advantage of your good nature. Co-operation is one thing, being a doormat is quite different.
