Douglas shooting kills teenager

Police say at about 4:00 Sunday afternoon, an 18-year-old was shot in his back at Roundtree Park on Gaskin Avenue in Douglas.

The shooter was Jonathan Thomas or Thompson. Nickname Jon Jon. At least this one has been solved. Maybe they have caught the shooter. Last heard he was seen in Broxton heading toward Telfair County.

walb news just did a report on this. they said there threats against his children called in to the school 2 different times and that it was locked down for 2 hours.

Does anyone know who the family is of DJ Andrews? Or if there is a link to his obit any where? Would like to pay my respects if I know them.

Is this gang-related? The Enterprise reported that DJ Andrews was shot on Sunday, and they had not caught the killer. WALB reported the shooter was Jonathan "John John" Thompson, 33. The paper also reported that Jonathan Thompson's house was burned on Monday and that it was ruled to be arson. Whoever did it tried to set it in seven places. Then, a threat was called in at CMS against Thompson's children. I am praying for the safety of the families involved, and that LE will get a grip on the situation in Douglas.

an aquaintance of dj called in two threats to our school about killing jon jons kids and they put us on lockdown for about two hours on soft lockdown than soft lockdown for the rest of the day! the day after the shooting, early monday morning someone set jon jons house on fire!
