Sorry, but I may have the wrong idea when I think what the "jump out boys" mean. If it is what I think that Ralph is referring to, I don't think that we need more of them, maybe different ones that do their job in the right way, ones that will not have such double standards.

I may be thinking about something totally different, if so, forgive me for butting in !

you got it and then some.coffee count jump out boys are headed up buy of the worst,and has trained a few of the others to be as bad.
i cant see sending some one to prison for doing the same thing they are doing.
they are disrespectful to every one,they treat the young people like they are less than human,
i do hope and pray for a new sheriff in the election comming up and we hopefully will see some light at the end of the tunnel for coffee county.

yeah these guys are totally out of control,pope talk about change within the dept,but all i see is the same thing daniel paulk and scott harper doing the same thing they been doing for yrs.we need a new sheriff that will be fair an equal to all people.an he is disrespecting the police dept so bad because if he has the deputy,s patroling in town i wonder who is doing the outside patroling not coffee county sherrif dept

I know the old saying, " hindsight is 20/20" is so true in most cases. Please don't shoot me for saying this but I don't think that we would all be looking at the this the same way if the sheriff had actually done what he said that he would in the beginning and got rid of the one that seems to running the show now.( D.Paulk)
I think that Pope could have been a decent sheriff but he has let this guy ruin the possibility of his re-election. IMO

If a drug test was administerd on the jump out boys the majority of them would test positive for drugs especially DP.But do not leave out the rest of the Deputys.I understand information from a very reliable source that there are two bald headed twins that are Deputys that smoke MARIJUANA on a regular basis.And would you believe one of the two got DEPUTY OF THE YEAR!!!!

CCSO Does give random drug test. If they don't pass they are terminated.

Thanks daisy for actually knowing something about what goes on in the CCSO. Random drug test are given and I can promise you the "twins" do not smoke weed. LOL...LOL. You people have absolutely no idea of what you are talking about. The twins are the ones you have to worry about taking u to jail for drugs. They are locking them up left and right. Thanks twins. I don't know about you but I want the drugs gone. For our children's sake.
I also would like to add that I think all of the CCSO are doing a great job at cleaning up the streets. Keep up the good work and PLEASE continue cleaning up our county. Its been great to see Jerry Pope actually out on the streets w/ the deputies participating in crime fighting.

yes they say they do randon drug test.they say they pick 5 each time for the test.but is it
documented on paper for the public to see ?
who does the testing?its a fact that a lot of them are users so somethings not right.and the most drugsbusts they do is the joint smokers.and

funny how the parents of the addicts beg for their kids to get busted so they can be made to get help and when they do, the parents run to get them out of jail then talk bad about the officers that arrested them at the parents request. hummmmmmmmm.................

Since we are getting personal. Just like to say that when one of the twinz lived in Valdosta he was in his early 20s and enjoying his college life. Like all of us (if you had a life). He has no record and has never been convicted of anything. However, then the twin grew up. Which unfortuntely not all of us do. Because of his life experiences, he is one of the best deputies in Coffee Co. He knows about tragedy due to losing his mother, father, grandmother, etc. He knows about drugs. It is something he admitted to when he entered his career in law enforcement in Valdosta Ga. Lowndes Co was the first to give him a chance and boy were they right. Because of his life experiences, he is like a drug dog. He can sniff out any and all criminals. The boy is not running for president here so back off.
