Seriously, if you can't find someone to give it up willingly and your last resort is someone that isn't awake or moving, get a blow up doll!!!! I would imagine it's way cheaper and private than what this fellow is about to go through. Freaking hog!

Tag, you are it!

Anyone who thinks rape is 'asking for it' IS a hog.

Grow. Up.

From the article...
"Sumpter is charged with rape of an unconscious person and with furnishing alcohol to an intoxicated person."

If the rape part is true there's no excuse and he should be locked up for a long time. But he's also gonna be charged with "furnishing alcohol to an intoxicated person"? Although I agree it's wrong serving someone who's drunk they'd have to go after nearly every bartender everywhere on that one.

I hope he drove her home afterwards, or at least gave her cab fare.

I completely agree with your post.

As far as serving an already intoxicated person you're right, there are a lot of people who should be cut off but aren't. This guy just happened to get caught doing it!

A woman was raped and people are making jokes about it? Suppose that was your sister or mother. How funny would it be then? This woman's life will never be the same and the people around her that know her and love her, their lives will never be the same. Give me a break. The guy that did this is a pathetic piece of crap and I truly hope that he gets his in jail but to crack jokes about woman that just suffered this is disgusting. Step back from your MTV, there is a life beyond treating women like crap.

Was she raped? Did someone force her to drink herself into a drunken stuper, so much that she passed out or fell asleep? I'd say she should of been a responsible adult and should not of drank so much. This is NO JOKE!

I hate to play devil's advocate but it seems something isn't right about the story or we're not getting the whole thing yet. It would seem logical that if you're going to rape someone you wouldn't take 3 hours to do so. The woman was 47 years old and if she was married she may not be getting all of her "needs" fulfilled anymore. She gets drunk at a bar and no one's around so she may be flirting with the bartender. It's a slow night, a somewhat attractive cougar (I don't actually know what she looks like) is hitting on him, so he closes the bar for some after hours fun time. Her husband is a bit mad when she shows up very late from a night out and in her inebriated state she instead claims she was raped to save face.

Like I said, just playing devil's advocate. If someone knows more facts about this case please present it. The 3 hours part just doesn't seem right. You'd think he would have gotten her into a cab before she awoke to cover up what he did.

Do you think that makes it o.k.? NO.

Maybe the bartender should have thought about contacting someone for help instead, you know, the *responsible thing to do!

No I wasn't there, but common sense tells me that if someone is passed-out-stone-cold in a public place (bar or not) there is a problem!

I wouldn't trust a drunk woman yelling rape. She has no idea what happened.
