I personally can't wait to see this documentary, if it ever becomes available outside of this film festival.

I also want to see it. I watched the trailer and thought wow what a piece of crap the town has become. I grew up there and was proud of it but now it has turned into a dump. I am so glad I found an opportunity to leave there. What a shame, I'm glad I was there at a better time and have good memories because I don't think you can achieve those there anymore. The Witch stuff hey personally I think it's ignorant but it is a free country and as long as what your doing is within the legal boundries knock yourself out it's great humor.

I would never deny the fact that there are good people still in Hoopeston there are. I have some family still there who are good people but they have to rely on other sources to provide their income as well as acquiring their necessities. Where are the proactive people in Hoopeston that want to apply themselves? Answer: they moved.
Hooter I graduated in 79 but not in Hoopeston but yeah we probably do know each other. |

My 'home town' is Paxton and we used to go to Hoopeston now and then for the Sweet Corn Festival.

I went to see the film at the NYUFF. It was worth seeing because I grew up in Hoopeston and lived there as recently as last year, but the film seemed unsure if it wanted to be about Wicca, Hoopeston, conservative intolerance, or Ed Hubbard's sex life. It was quite an experience to hear something about Hoopeston was going to be in NYC, but even better since I am currently living in the NY metro area so had the opportunity to see it.
