Suicide

I have known Mike for about 5 years and I find it hard to believe that he took his own life on purpose. Perhaps from a mis-doseage from his pain medication. I know he was in pain daily.
Does anyone really know what happened?

Mike didn't take his own life. There are a lot of things that don't add up in it all. There is one thing that seems apparent to most of us that know Mike very well. It appears there is some sort of cover up or concealment going on in this particular case. We will be working hard to try to get to the absolute bottom of things regarding Mike's death.

Michael Joseph Thompson was born July 8, 1956 in Winnsboro, SC and passed away March 2, 2008 in Blanchard, OK. After graduating Callaway High School, Jackson, MS, class of 1975, Mike enlisted in the Navy where he retired 20 years later. During his Naval career, Mike had tours of duty on the USS Nimitz and the USS America with station assignments in Hawaii, Jacksonville & Pensacola, FL. After his retirement, Mike earned his Professional A&P License and worked at Tinker Air Force Base, OKC, OK. He leaves behind his wife, Tami daughter, Taylor (11), parents Betty & Hugh N. Thompson, Jr. of Huntsville, AL brother, Hugh N. Thompson, III and wife Nancy of Columbia, SC sister, Karen Thompson Hoffmeyer and husband George of Huntsville, AL and brother, Mark Thompson and wife Edie Hagens of Dallas, TX. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008, 11:00 am in Candlewood Chapel at Ford Funeral Service, 305 S. Sooner Road, Midwest City, OK.

I think you are right, from what gossip I have heard is that he had hung himself, not in the house but outside or in an out building. Seems strange to me also. I was wondering if he left a suicide note.

Outside is correct. Not in an out building though. No note found as of yet.

Service today was beautiful though. Still trying to look into things and figure things out, but under the circumstances, I don't know that anything will be found out for certain unless we can find somewhere that the police screwed up in some way(already may have 1 way they messed up).

But, regardless, most of us close to him still believe he did not kill himself. Just gotta find a way to prove it.

The Mike I know would never do this to his family and friends. He was not and has never been a coward. He would not have taken the cowards way out. There has to be more to this than anyone is saying.
