Child abuse on the loose

Thursday of last week a man was arrested in Hopkins County, TX (Sulphur Springs) for felon injury to a child. He shook a one year old baby in his care. That baby is currently in ICU.
What does this have to do with Amarillo? Hopkins County does not believe it is legal to supervise their pre-trial defendants on bond. The only supervision this person is receiving is from his bonding company. STILL, what does this have to do with Amarillo? This person is free to leave Hopkins County and is under no one's supervision to report for drug/alcohol testing or stay within his county. Information received from a close family member tells me he is in Amarillo to attend a family celebration.
How lovely for him to be free to attend family celebrations while the family of his victim is living at the bedside of their baby in ICU. Nice message to send about how bad he feels for his victim.
This person's name and picture are public record at www.hopkinscountytx.org . If there was probably cause to arrest him, and there was definitely probable cause, then there is probable cause for the community to be concerned. What if you or your family encounter him, and he gets mad at you? What might he do?
