If solar energy was efficient and cost effective, wouldn't people already be using it?

Hopefully the Obama & the Dems won't force us all to convert to this expensive renewable.

Nuclear energy is the only suitable and affordable hope for the future. Why aren't we building any new reactors to be part of our infrastructure of the future?
