Justice has finally caught up to Ray and some of his "friends". His position with a SCPD badge was disgraced because of the likes of him. His civilian friends that were involved with Ray, in things like this, shouldn't be so smug as to think they're "untouchable" either. It's a real shame if this jerk went out 3/4's and gets a check while sitting in jail, like his friend Tom F. who got half pay. The retirement system needs a revamp when it comes to things like this. Let's not forget the other friend, Tom N. He's another one who skated on alot of things. Talk about skeletons in closets, there's a whole graveyard there!! Congrats to the SCPD and the SCDA's Office on this one!!

If you were there like I was, you would have had to see that this is total fabrication. First of all, the precinct tapes told of no wrongdoing, and the lifetime criminal witness the DA chose to use was caught lying his ass off. RATBOY IS Lt.James " Ratman " Hickey, currently of the Criminal Intelligence Unit. He brings new meaning to the word "intelligence". He is also the same James Hickey who was mentioned in a 1992 Newsday article where Judge Stuart Namm ( one only a few judges with integrity) who said the testimony given at the trial of an accused burglar was not credible? This, after citing the defendant was brutally beaten on the head and body causing his teeth to be knocked out. It is the same Hickey that has a RUMOR floating about him that says he used to write phantom summonses on motorists and then arrest them on a warrant when they didn't answer the ticket they never got. The prosecution has rested and Tom Spota has conveniently left on a long vacation so he can avoid severe embarrassment. This overzealous DA and malicious prosecutor are unjust. ADA Peter Timmons should be sued civilly and charged with civil rights violations and prosecutorial misconduct.
Mr. Montefusco, please sue all the people involved. And call Eliot Spitzer too. Suffolk County has to stop thinking they are above the law!

Oh, really, cops don't like to arrest other cops. Why didn't this case go to IA, or at least let them record the charges? Ans. Because the couldn't trust IA to put up with this frame job.

You are the classic example of what I was talking about when I told this guy there will be some out there who will never believe your innocence no matter what they hear, including Spota, Timmons, Dormer, the three so called witnesses going on TV and apologizing and admitting this is a frame job. Your answer will still be the same.

no "friend", i am not a detective. I am the furthest thing from it- In fact i have had a personal run-in w/some of these POS's and it just kills me that so much effort can be put into prosecuting petty crimes that don't make a difference either way, and these guys, who are running wild doing anything they want, will probably get off somehow... even w/all the clear evidence against them. the system is screwed up more than ever and I'm sure this is only the surface. you would think w/the money these assholes are getting paid they wouldnt feel the need to do these types of crimes, or any crimes at all for that matter. the sad truth is that this situation will never change because THE POLICE ARE THE BIGGEST GANG AROUND AND THEY WILL DO WHAT THEY HAVE TO TO PROTECT EACH OTHER AND ULTIMATELY SAVE FACE- NO MATTER WHAT THE COST....
