Class is something that the owner of Vox Hamptons Magazine would have to look up in the dictionary and still not understand what it meant. This guy is a real baffoon....the lowest human element possible. He doesn't pay his bills..he doesn't pay his employees, and in between sips of his martini he will verbally abuse anyone who displays any common sense. Stay away from this guy...his stink will rub off on you..and if he owes you money, try to get it now because he's going under fast.

The whole bunch of people at the top at VOX suck. They lie, they say they are going to pay you--it will be in the mail today, I'm Fed Exing it right this minute, the check has been made out--STY AWAY. And I'd like to know if anybody knows if Ted Scumbag really gave the winner of the VOX jumpoff at the Hamptons Horse Show the $30,000 that was promised. I got paid for freelance stories during the spring and summer by bugging the hell out of them. Tried to warn others off...including the staff that replaced the earlier staff who left in disgust.

Glad you got paid, but many of the staff and other freelancers HAVE NOT - I seriously doubt he gave 30K to the hamptons classic. This bog needs to be sent to the local newspapers and the staff. This baffon needs to be stopped or put in jail. he walks around like he is king shit !!! he is a loser and his girlfriend who is not part of his scams is a real piece of shit. please pass this bog around and lets get the word out !!!!

Nobody on staff - writers, designers, salespeople, publisher, editor - has been paid. Back pay ranges anywhere from 4-5 pay periods. I understand that at least 3 staffers have not been paid since mid-August. They all kept working in good faith to get the final issues of the year out and have gotten screwed. What makes matters worse is that the magazine's owners decided to stop paying for healthcare coverage a few months ago hanging all these people out to dry.

no one was complaining when he picked up the check. funny how quickly a person forgets. you all knew what you were getting into, fools not to. you used eachother. and now your pissed and embarrased because you got sucked in just like everyone else, you were played-you took a chance and you lost. the person you have to blame is yourself, for making a poor choice in employment and associations. bad judgement. look in the mirror. only a retard could not have seen it coming. learn from it move on get a life no need to kick a man when he's down thats just pure evil and puts you right on the level Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one getting burned.

I am 11th generation in East Hampton and it is people like the owner of VOX Hamptons that have and still are ruining the area. And for you "goodtimes", you could not be more in correct. I have never met who you all speak of iin my life. In fact I never even heard of him until my current situation arose. He has never spent a dime on me or anyone that I know, and no... I did not know what I was getting into. I had no idea, and here we are with his company choosing to not pay me the money that I honestly earned. HOnesty... interesting! Unfortunately those who have morals and values not only on a business level, but also on a personal level also tend to have faith in people. I've had faith that he would follow in the footsteps of countless other business' and pay their bills when they are due, over due, waaaay overdue. A phone call would be nice. Times are tight, I would be happy with a phone call saying why you can't pay, but we can't even get that. Instead all of our calls are being dogged! Unbleavable and disgusting! "Good times" and "family friend" I am sorry that you are too blind to see, I hope for your sake that you won't be affected by this disgust one day, but I can guarantee from what I have heard and experience myself that you will. P.S. when you order something, recieve it, and distribute it, and then don't pay the bill...what is that called? Ask a 3 year old, even they would be able to answer that! THAT IS CALLED STEALING! It's not about being on "his level, or kicking a man when he is down" Goodtimes. It is about feeling the anger that you should when you are cheated, when you have been disrespected, when someone has stolen from you. I am glad that you are such the little peace maker, but I'd like to see you stand there, say nothing, do nothing if someone was to steel your wallet right in front of you and look at you and laugh in your face. I would really be amazed if you could suppress your anger enough to not say or do a thing. THese people are not picking up hot coals, these people don't have negative intentions, these people want what is rightfully theirs!

You people need to distinguish between "business" and "personal". Businesses fail every day -- nowadays, perhaps every hour. In this country, if someone is working hard to save his business, that's a good thing, not a bad thing. I'm not saying you should provide services for his company without getting paid up front, I'm just saying that you shouldn't PERSONALLY insult someone for their business failing. Ted is a warm and generous human being. For those of you who would attack someone personally, over a business transaction that has gone bad for you, then that is a negative reflection on you, not him. Shame on you. Why do I have this feeling that if VOX comes back strong in the Spring, you whiny people will wish you were back working there? And, no, this is not Ted, or a family member.

I agree Baby Bull. Personal attacks aren't necessary. He just needs to pay people - employees and contractors - what he owes them otherwise VOX ain't coming back...
