The Family of Jay-D Ornsby-Adkins
would like to know why they left part of his name off the sign.
The Adkins family have been hurt by this lack of concern by the Amador county and its failure to adequately respond.

The Adkins family have been advised that Jay-D's surname "ADKINS" was left off the sign because there were too many words and not enough room and it was decided by a committee that ADKINS be omitted from the sign because it would read better that way! No one had the right to make this decision - has anyone thought about Jay-D and the heritage he was proud of. We were also informed that if we wanted we could do the same back in Australia - if we did, the sign would read JAY-D ORNSBY ADKINS because that is his name and always will be. This is vindictiveness not honour.
