I'm a Bowie graduate, so I know that a lot of GRRREEEAAAAATTTTT people have come out of this school; smart, successful and very very blessed so I will be praying for this new principal to be used by God to help the following generations succeed...! Mr. Chavez, just remember that every time you want to do something good in this life, there will ALWAYS be opposition, and without that, there is no Challenge and without Challenge there are NO Heros! So if there are negative comments, they should only make you stronger!!! If you were chosen it was for a reason.... a lot of future scholars depend on you, your team and the faith you all put in this.

How many chances are they going to give this school? At some point, it's time to just shut the thing down, let the good students apply at other high schools, let the Mexicans border crossers stay in Juarez and attend their own schools. Much of the problem is they want the freebies here, the free lunches and so on but the pathetic parents are too lazy to make sure their kids know the basics before starting school, one of the basics being the language of this country.

If they can't make the slightest effort, then why bother wasting the taxpayers' money, and they don't need an education to pick lettuce.

I'm sorry, I know it seems like I'm buttin in on your business its just that this forum thread and others like save la bowie are also in MY HOMETOWN forum.

I'm lucky enough to be an editor for my hometown topix page and I'm just trying to do my job. I know this forum thread is also on the el Paso forum thread, just know its on other threads as well.
