California, unlike Nebraska, has a special fondness for illegal Hispanic Mestizos and Amerindians. The 'Golden State' provides them many food, housing, and education subsidies. The result of this misguided policy is that today a majority of California's children are Hispanic and the state is losing its golden touch.

Today the average illegal Mestizo and Amerindian has no choice but as a waiter and garbage collector. The first generation will tolerate it, happy to be making what seems to them good money. A few will succeed and move up. Most won’t. The second generation, relegated forever to jobs of low pay and less esteem, will become resentful. Inevitably they will see the relegation as indicating discrimination, not incapacity. The young, unable to compete, will gravitate toward others who can’t and we will have another permanent underclass. And since they cannot compete they will vote as a block for someone like themselves, a socialist Hugo Chavez wannabe who, once elected, will distribute most wealth to the poor.
