The State of Texas State Operations Center (SOC) received a report of a natural gas explosion north of Alvin, Brazoria. The six inch natural gas pipeline blew out at County Road (CR) 129 and State Highway (SH) 35 on the Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) Plant property. The gas was turned off by DRI personnel. There were no reports of injuries, property damage, fire or evacuations. Alvin Fire Department, Brazoria County Sheriff’f Office, Brazoria County Emergency Management and District Coordinator 16 – Texas City responded. (DC-16 Texas City) DDC 16
