Here's another candidate for the World's Dumbest Criminals! If you were driving a stolen vehicle, would you draw further attention to yourself by throwing the ticket at a police officer? D-U-M-B!

The police are so lazy. All the parking enforcement officer had to do was bend over and pick-up the ticket. He could have bought a 44 cent ticket, and used a envelope from the CPD. The address to mail it to was on the citation, so it wold be easy for the office to copy the address onto the envelope. The poor guy could have been saved all the trouble of being cited and having his medication confiscated. Now the courts are really going to be backlogged. Sheesh!

"Additional officers were called in to track the man for littering. "

That's a RIOT! Gotta love Capitola! Can Santa Cruz borrow these guys for a few days? Lots of 'litter' to clean up here.

No worries for the crook, I'm sure the district attorney or the judges will find a way to dismiss the case or give him prop 36, maybe even probation?

Do your research Santa Cruz! Criminals and drug dealers are drawn here because after they get arrested, there are NO consequences. Stolen car and drugs... good luck even getting a week behind bars. The public should be outraged!

However, I don't think I understand what you are saying. Maybe you're being sarcastic? The guy has a stolen vehicle. If he threw the citation at the officer, that is an assault on a public official. And I believe most of their parking enforcement is done well by the officers in wheelchairs. So, the officer issues a citation to a stolen vehicle without knowing so. Then the address or license plate # that is on the citation goes to the owner of the car. Unless the thief tried to register it in his name...(wouldn't happen... would have been caught already). So are you saying that the owner of the car should pay for the citation and late fees? They didn't know where the car was and hopefully have it back today without damage.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Aquarius

If you're still happily munching chocolates and all sorts of other goodies, you'll have to take yourself in hand at some point during the coming fortnight. Maybe you'll have to compensate for all the festive over-eating by taking more exercise or cutting back on the calories, or perhaps you'll decide that you can't delay giving up smoking any longer. As Mercury turns in your twelfth house of secrets, messages you receive at this time may be very subtle or contain hidden meanings meant only for your understanding.
