Overseas? Do you think they will go to Bangladesh?

Same story we heard about the geniuses on Wall Street that brought on the financial crash. "If they don't get their multi-million dollar salaries and bonuses they are going to leave the country!

From the same crowd that says we don't need regulations...

I can't help but wonder how many people in Okie land are on welfare, have no children and do not have a disability? Have you seen how many people in this category that the Repubs are calling a win? I bet it's the same amount of Muslims coming to Oklahoma to instill Sharia Law. LOL

Those job creators are going to have to really search for a country that doesn't have a health care system already in place and stay in a first world country.

Yep, Bangladesh it is....lol The Repub/wingnut heaven...opps, not sure it's Christian though....lol

Never heard of to big to fail? Funny that you didn't hear about the banks having to pay millions for mortgage fraud and that was just paying pennies on the dollar to people that were damaged. Or the thousands of jobs that were being hemorrhaged a day...And it was all due to Fannie Mae, not hardly...

No wonder the Republican party wants to defund Education in Oklahoma..that's the best way for them to stay in power...

Well some day future Oklahomans without an education WILL be doing the work that Chinese used to do. Or Bangladesh....

Let's see, the Repub Governor of Oklahoma wants to cut Education and give tax breaks to 'the wealthy job creator's." Which jobs do we want to encourage in Oklahoma that doesn't require an education? Oh yeah, minimum wage....

The Westboro Baptist Church is going to protest the Thunder game in OKC tonight because Kevin Durant gave a shout out to Collins for coming out. I can't help but wonder ......Are Okies going to join in common cause with Westboro?

To the dumbazzhat progressive liberal loon justaliar worried about not enough regulations I have a question to pose.

All the regulations in the world are empty without merit if the justice department fails to enforce the law. Also if laws like STOCK Act are passed then along comes your messiah and chief and he guts the law that would keep Congress and himself in check. Case in point, check out Diane Feinstein's husband very recent contract award to build the high speed rail in California. You think that is a coincidence? Almost a billion dollars worth and it just happens to fall into her and her husband's bank account since he was awarded the contract?

Believe b.s. if you want but I know better. This isn't the first time Diane Feinstein (D-CA)has been accused of cronyism and I'd bet this won't be the last.

I know the dumbazz in Wisconsin turned down the high speed rail and all the jobs there and took employment from #7 in the nation all the way down to 46th. I know the dumbazz in Florida turned down the high speed rail and all the jobs from that. I know that most of the Republican dumbazzes that were elected in 2010 have popularity ratings in the 20's like the dumbazzes in the Republican House. The most do-nothing Congress in history. Even with gerry mandering they lost House and Senate members in 2012.

The biggest thing is if your on the Republican side and don't call yourself a millionaire the your the biggest dumbazz of them all.

From NY Times - September 11, 2003 - Barney Franks Stopped Goerge W Bush in 2003 to regulate Fannie Mae 17 times!

The Bush administration today recommended the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago.

Under the plan, disclosed at a Congressional hearing today, a new agency would be created within the Treasury Department to assume supervision of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-sponsored companies that are the two largest players in the mortgage lending industry.

The new agency would have the authority, which now rests with Congress, to set one of the two capital-reserve requirements for the companies. It would exercise authority over any new lines of business. And it would determine whether the two are adequately managing the risks of their ballooning portfolios.

The plan is an acknowledgment by the administration that oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — which together have issued more than $1.5 trillion in outstanding debt — is broken. A report by outside investigators in July concluded that Freddie Mac manipulated its accounting to mislead investors, and critics have said Fannie Mae does not adequately hedge against rising interest rates.

”These two entities — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — are not facing any kind of financial crisis,” said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee.‘‘The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”

Representative Melvin L. Watt, Democrat of North Carolina, agreed.

President Clinton strongly supported financial deregulation. His principal economic advisors, Robert Rubin and Larry Summers, were eager financial deregulators. His Vice President, Al Gore, led the "reinventing government" movement that spread the rot of desupervision. Banking regulators were instructed to refer to banks as their customers.

Glass-Steagall was one of the many necessary measures taken by Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the Democratic Congress to deal with the Great Depression.

The policy response was to erect a wall between investment banking and commercial banking. It outlasted the Berlin Wall by a few decades. In the 1990s, as another bull market took hold, momentum in the Clinton Administration built to overturn Glass-Steagall. In April 1998, Sandy Weill's Travelers, which owned Salomon Smith Barney, merged with Citicorp. The following year, Congress passed and President Clinton signed the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999, known as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. This law effectively deleted the prohibition on commercial banks owning investment banks and vice versa.

By Willian Jefferson Clinton (D) repealing Glass-Steagall, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, it is a fact Bill made "Too Big To Fail" Banks Possible. Yes, everyone has heard of them, Obama paid and assured they keep their Multi-Billion Dollar bonus's and in fact is attempting to get the scam going all over again pushing Sub-Prime Loans for those that do not pay as part of his Social Justice Agenda.

When are people going to realize that the entire governmental system needs to be overhauled? If everyone would stand together it could be done just as it was at the Boston Tea Party.

Dusty knew about this and posted that Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd both should be in Club Fed for the rest of their natural lives. MistyGirl posted also in total agreement Barney and Chris should be in prison so I guess you just brought up one subject that Dusty and Misty agreed who the guilty parties were.
Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd are both democrats in case anyone like justaliar is confused.

3 more suspects have been arrested associated with the Boston Bombings. All have connections with the surviving brother Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Dartmouth University.
Dias Kadyrbayev, Asamat Tazhayakov, both nationals from Kazakhstan and in the U.S. on student visas. Robel Phillipos is a U.S. citizen and lives in Cambridge a suburb of Boston.
These men and the surviving Boston Bomber suspect were friends and/or fellow students.
FBI affidavit is available to read in full on foxnews.com website.
Tazhayakov was dismissed from the university because of a academic dismissal which meant his student visa was terminated in early January, he left the U.S. but then, he re-entered the U.S. on January 20th in New York. This information was in the Department of Homeland Security SEVIS system before Tazhayakov re-entered the U.S. on January 20th.

Why was he allowed to re-enter the U.S. His visa was terminated and that information was in the SEVIS system. How did this oversight possibly happen?

This information was given by a official on condition of anonymity because this person is not authorized to discuss details of the immigration status of Tazhayakov.

DHS spokesman Peter Boogaard claimed Customs and Border Protection had recently reformed it's information system and had not been notified of Tazhayakov's status. Then later revised his statement to say the systems was still under reform...

If you no longer say poor old Bush had to deal with a Dem Congress then I won't point out the Clinton had a Republican veto proof majority to deal with since it was the Repub Senate and House that pushed through the Gramm-Leach-Bliley bill, all Repubs by the way. Remember, Sen Phil Gramm (R) Texas.....

I'm surprised that your not celebrating this anniversary Packing Fudge. It's 10 years ago today the Prez Bush landed on the aircraft carrier announcing the end of military actions in Iraq. LOL You know they don't have the "Mission Accomplished" Banner in Bushes Library.

You know your citing a Dem President FDR is so so cute. Yes the Glass-Steagall Act needs to be brought back..It's so what Sen. Elizabeth Warren wants brought back...see.. you can work with Dems. We Liberals have been calling for Glass-Steagall to be re-instated since the Crash. Glad that you support it. What would be even better if you called on your OK Senators and Congresspeople to do the same.

You know if I didn't know better, I would think since Heat's post have been Benghazi...Clinton....Benghazi .. someone is getting sweaty at the thought of Dem candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016.

That's why we are all waiting for Issa's Benghazi House hearing...Those Republican lawyer's claiming that their candidates are 'whistle blowers' are even Republicans stable of Attorney's from the Clinton era.

During the next couple of years if Hillary keeps her foot in, I bet we're going to do Whitewater, Vice Foster, the whole shebang...all over again.

So maybe you can trot out ole Jeb Bush, to bad his momma said there's been enough Bushes as President...

With Papa Bush and G.W. and then her other son Bill, Mama Bush has had a lot of influence on the White House.

:-)

Remember when President Bill Clinton said such glowing terms about the Bush Family, Hillary was sitting on stage smiling and nodding her head in agreement!

I always thought First Lady Barbara Bush had a no nonsense attitude for the matriarch of the Bush Family. It wasn't until later that I realized she had to have a wonderful sense of humor to deal with all the high profile family members she had. I liked the Silver Fox and respected her.
