Has anyone posted comments to the Altus Times, and not have them posted in print or on the web?

So I'm not the Lone Ranger here? I know what you mean. The Altus Times will no longer provide a Monday service. They reported it as a cost cutting measure. But let's face it, the Altus Times is way behind the times and have alot of catching up to do. I'd like to see a court reporter and who cares if Mrs. Brown baked a batch of cookies?

The Altus Times quality and freshness have not existed since the middle 1960's. Today it is a paper fill with boring news, mostly about its own employees' latest boring excapades,,,,,,and, regretfully reinterating former comments, who cares. Many people have quit supporting the local paper because of this universal feeling.....who cares about what they have written. Either get with the program, people, or give up and quit whipping a dead horse.

And exactly what does "those old people having worked and paid more taxes than someone" have to do with the paper being so sorry? Uou must work there - with your logic it is no wonder the paper is going under!

Just read a story on the paper's website about a the murder trial going on. It was a terrible story. It was chocked full of errors and bad writing/journalism. What a waste. Does this newspaper even know what journalism is? Does the editor have a clue how to edit a newspaper? Does the editor and/or publisher have a clue about anything? There was a time when this was a pretty good little newspaper, but that's been at least 20 years ago. It's very sad. The city deserves better... The group of yahoos there now couldn't produce an decent product if their life depended upon it. The paper should just close and get over with rather than forcing those of us that care about Altus watch and endure the death of a once-vital business.
