Thanks for this story. I have no instincts or life experience to tell me how to behave when it's hot outside.

Nice attempt at sarcasm. These warnings are intended for the old and stupid (yes, KOTV markets directly to stupid people, who make up a large part of their audience).

And please.....do not leave your children and/or pets in the car! You know, we really shouldn't have to remind people of that, but.....it's already happening!

All media caters to people with no common sense. Every year it is the same stories; don't leave the baby in car when it's hot, don't blow your fingers off with fireworks, be carefule the roads are wet/icy/or covered with idiots, don't open emails from people you don't know and click on the link.

You know..I don't claim to be the brightest candle on the cake...but nor am I a stupid idiot....

Many moons ago as I went to my sons football game at the beginning of the season....(hot, August )...wore light colored cotton clothing, drank water...and still I passed out in the bleachers during the game from heat exhaustion and to this day I can not work outside in the yard for very long before I begin to feel symptomatic.

I hope you never experience it.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Cancer

If you're busy with a last-minute Christmas shopping trip it will be easy to lose track of how much you're spending, particularly if you're in a panic and desperate to tick off every name on your list. However, you might be in for a nasty shock later on when you tot up the massive amount of money that you parted with. So try to keep a running total in your head or stick to a strict budget for each gift.
