I have stayed at the Veterans Guest House in Reno, NV also when my husbands kidneys failed due to Agent Orange contact in Vietnam. They are very nice there and also provive snacks to eat. It is within walking distance to the Hospital and the mess hall. When I was there a woman and man kind of over used the guest house. They said they had money for motel but the Veterans Guest House was free. But for those of us who don't have the money to syat for days in motels and hotel the Veterans Guest House is a God Send. My husban an I live in Alturas, CA and will all the traveling to Reno's Veterans Hospital it drains your pocket book with all the gasoline getting there and back. Kudo's to the Veterans Guest House and the folks who run it.
