I have set up a memorial fund for the little bulldog - all proceeds will go to the ARL to help them get the word out to even more people that they always have options - NO QUESTIONS ASKED. The fund will be in the bulldogs honor. We already have a great start of donations, including a quilt somebody is making with bulldog prints to donate to the ARL Auction in his honor. If you would like to contribute you can do so here:

Please tell your friends and other animal lovers! Maybe we can all help save another animal in the future!
I noticed somebody tagged my posting as "spam" and "clueless" - this is definitely not spam. So far i've received over $200 in donations plus the quilt with the bulldog material that will be donated to the Animal Rescue League gala fundraiser in honor of the little bulldog. Not everybody in the world is bad - and i'm slightly offended somebody would assume this is "spam" before checking it out. I was just so upset about this whole situation I felt like I had to do something - and this is what i thought of.

I know many people that would have loved to have this dog - an English Bulldog. I bet the dog wasn't even his and he tried to kill it in retaliation for some perceived wrong. This worthless excuse for a human being needs to be removed off the planet - stat.

I don't understand what this world is coming to. To abuse and animal is just plain sick. All these poor things want is someone to love them, as they do you unconditionally. This so called "person" needs done to him, the same thing he did do this poor dog.

To Mildred Myrtle--a person that cold hearted that will abuse an animal will abuse a human being as well. The two behaviors go hand in hand. We DO need to care about little children. Some men (like this one) go around increasing the population without regard for the families they help get here.
If you care about little children, then you should care about animals being abused.

This sick piece of garbage needs to go away for a long time. Anyone that could do that to a defenceless animal could do it to a human too. I own 2 bulldogs and there is now way anything the do could be that bad. This type of dog does not have a mean bone in their body and are a sweet and loving breed.

put him in jail where he belongs and throw away the key, he is a dead beat dad and there is alot of people that would have took the dog and gave it a good home, if he can hurt a dog like that he could do the same thing to a human,

I BET THE ONLY REASON (WHICH IS A POOR EXCUSE) FOR THIS MAN TRYING TO KILL THE POOR DOG IS BECAUSE HE NO LONGER WANTED HIM?! IT WOULD BE TO HUMANE OF HIM TO GIVE THE DOG TO A LOVING HOME...NO INSTEAD THIS SICK BASTARD TRY'S TO KILL THE DOG....WHAT A SELFISH SICK ACT...AND HE SUCCEED IN KILLING THE DOG SEEING IT HAD TO BE PUT TO SLEEP.....I BELIEVE THAT EITHER IT BE A HUMAN OR ANIMAL PEOPLE SHOULD GET THE SAME SENTENCE YOU WOULD FOR TRYING TO KILL A PERSON....BETTER YET WHY DON'T WE JUST START DOING TO THE PERSON THE SAME CRIME THAT HE DID TO THAT POOR LIL BULLY...DROWN HIS SORRY A!#..AND IF WE DON'T SUCCEED WELL THEN WE CAN JUST EUTHANIZE HIM...HE SEEMS LIKE HE IS JUST A WASTE OF SPACE, AND PRECIOUS OXYGEN :)

Charging this individual with animal torture is not enough when the dog was ultimately put to rest. Assault and battery of an animal is no different than committing the crime on a child or adult for that matter and should be treated accordingly. At least with humans there is the chance they can cry for help.
Make the bail at least $63,000 so this low life cannot get out until he has gone to court, maybe by the time he finally goes to court someone on the inside will treat him to the same kind of loving he showed the poor bull dog.
Animal abuse needs to be a felony across the country and these people who commit these crimes must pay for their abusive ways. Having the bail at $6300 hardly deters even this low life from getting out of jail.

Maybe someone should treat him like he treated the bully. He is a very sick individual and deserves to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

What's there to judge about some moron trying to shoot and drown a defenseless animal? Seems pretty cut and dry to me no matter how it's reported or who's reporting it. Some idiot shot and tried to drown a dog. It's sick and wrong. And I'm sure the ARL does what's in it's own best interests just like any other business. Deal with it or get in a position where you can do something about it instead of griping.
