Serves him right...see how they had decided to add a few non-related charges to the file.

Throw the book at him and then some! Can he be charged with something extra for being an incompetent ahole? It's bad enough that he shot the dog, but then he screwed it up so badly he had to try to drown it. When that didn't work he just left the poor thing to suffer. My disgust and contempt for this man has no limits.

To all the idiots out there who are thinking of taking your unwanted animal out to the country and dumping it or shooting it - TAKE IT TO A SHELTER!!!

I'm having a hard time figuring out what a dog could have done to deserve this. Don't even get me started on the other charges, he needs to go away for a really long time.

Thank you to the person who turned this POS in! Bless you!!! I also say thank you to the nice caring men who took care of this poor animal, you all are wonderful!

The loser who shot this innocent bulldog is named BERNARD LEAR- 49 from Altoona. So what do you locals know about this convicted felon? Has he always been an idiot? I mean he doesn't pay his child support, is he so stupid he does not realize that an english bulldog can bring up to $2500.00 if he did not want the dog anymore? He could have sold him or given him away. Why take the dog out and shoot it in the head, try to drown him and leave it to suffer unless he is a psychopath?
I hope they lock him up and he gets to suffer.

So how many of you will be at the Courthouse to hold a peaceful demonstration begging the judge to refrain from a simple "handslapping"? Make your thoughts and comments count where they matter---in the hands of the judge.

Thanks Becky, I figured he would be a career criminal or drug abuser who else would do such a thing?

I hope he is put away for a long time, society does not need any more violent people running free, I wonder how long until he shoots a person. The judge better throw the book at him!

I have been around a lot of English Bulldogs as well and they are an excellent breed. I've never seen one act out aggressively, and besides a lot of drooling, the breed (as a whole) doesn't have any behavioral issues that I'm aware of.

LOCK HIM UP OR SHOOT HIM IN THE FACE SO HE KNOWS HOW IT FEELS! I would love to be in the court room when he goes in front of the judge and give them a piece of what I think should happen. No innocent animal deserved that! Sick ****!!!!!!
