Every time I read more about these ridiculas allegations against Lt. Chilton my blood boils. I wrote in earlier that I have had dealings with him Professionaly and he was a perfect gentleman. His family and tht entire Mount Dora police department should be proud of him. And the former retired Carmen Auglimerra or who ever should have kept his comments to himself.

We all love Lt. Chilton in Mt. Dora, and it saddens us as citizens of this great community that he has resigned from his position and will no longer be protecting and serving us. He is the nicest, most personable professional you could imagine, and has helped us as citizens time and time again. Chief Scoggins is wonderful also, as is the whole Mt. Dora police department. This former retired Eustis police officer should not be one to cast stones, since it was his sister who murdered her husband in Mt. Dora a couple years ago, and called him at work to tell him.

It's both a sad and scary world when helping another human being can ruin a reputation, destroy a family , and hurt our community.
My hope is that the residents of Mount Dora remember the outstanding public servant that Lt Chilton was while in office.
Let's give Chilton the love and support he gave to our community for years.

I wish Lt. Chilton's position was an elected one. I don't care what he does when he is off duty. On duty he was a pillar of the community. The Mount Dora Police department has come a long way thanks to him. For God's sake, he didn't kill someone! He gave someone a ride, because that is the kind of person he is. Too nice, to say no. Always trying to help. It is true, the good guys always do finish last.

I know Roger Chilton very well. I know he did what he's was accused of. He is a liar, cheated on his wife. Has been investigated several times for pulling stunts like these. He has a lousy memory. Having caught him in several lies in his past. Just ask and Mount Dora officer who has been there while he was there. Ask him why he left Eustis police as well
