Children Left on School Bus

It's happened two times in two weeks. Halifax County bus drivers forgetting to check their buses, leaving pre-schoolers on board.

i think thats awful&careless me as a parent would have been devestated we dont no who hands our children are in when their not with you.but i bet if they go to school with a scratch we would have social services at our door.thank god nothing happened to those little kids.

I don't think these drivers are on crack. I think they may have suffered a lapse in judgment by not checking their buses well enough. Sadly, it's these lapses that can cost a child their life.

Somebody's going to get sued over these two small children being neglected this way! Wouldn't want to be in their shoes! I pity bus drivers for the crap that they have to put up with every day. Lord knows that my own "little monsters" are bad enough in our mini van. But they know to behave on the bus.

I think parents are shipping their kids off barely after they are pottie trained. This Head Start crap is a way for lazy parents to get rid of their kid all day. A kid should be raised by their parents until they are old enough to be in kindergarten. Some baby makers around here have kids for a free paycheck and pass them off to whoever will take them.

If that is true, do you believe the children are better off at a place where they aren't left with a box of sugar pops watching kiddie tv all morning or in an environment where there are books, music, games that encourage interaction etc. If you are thinking about the kids.........

What I'm thinking is after these young girls have one baby and make a living on welfare they should be spayed. These kids don't stand a chance..they should be adopted out to people want a child, not a paycheck.

Well one of the mothers was quoted as saying that she would not put her child back on the bus again. She would take the child herself. Doesn't sound like a bad parent particularly.

I would also like to know about an alleged shot fired at a school bus. Did this distract other drivers. Were there children on board and if so were the parents notified that the children were exposed to a potentially stressful situation.
