Inmate falls through ceiling into Texas police office

ALTON, Texas (AP) -- Authorities say an inmate trying to flee a Texas city jail crashed through the ceiling into a police chief's empty office.

Why don't we just put all of them on an island off Alaska. A lot cheaper and we don't have to worry about what they do to each other. I'd throw in lots of food and drugs too.

reminds me an obscure cartoon i saw a few times. an inmate tried to escape jail by digging a tunnel. he ends up in the wardens office and hides in the tv that the warden just bought for his wife. the inmate has to act out each channel the warden changes. funny.

Does anyone remember the jail break in East Tn. where the inmates broke out, walked to the nearest convenience store, bought a 12pk of beer, then went back to the jail to drink it? Not just once but twice in the same night. I believe the story was on Letterman or Leno.
