Jefferson County Sheriffs Office loses another dedicated officer

It seems that good old Gerald is letting his staff run off more Deputies. I heard through the grapevine from several Deputies that the k-9 was being taken away from Deputy Tucker. Now if I remember right Deputy Tucker and his dog won the state championship last year for k-9 work. What a shame to treat your crew like this. Guess you can just hire more rookies who dont know the streets...... Great Job Sheriff~~!!!!! Keep the screw ups and run off the good cops!!!! Glad I am packing up and moving away from here........ Sure glad I dont live in the county.

I tried to find the website to JCSO so I can fill out an application for employment and look what I found. Alot of comments containing to JCSO and the problems they have at the moment. I don't know any of the guys mentioned but it seems like JCSO needs to have an administration meeting and elect new officials, cause I can't believe one place can have so many problems. These are people who took an oath to serve and protect the citizens of Jefferson County. "They wonder why their not getting any respect from the citizens", from the outside looking in I'm glad I stay in another county. So you be must crazy to think I'm still going to fill out an application, I think Not! P/S for the record I'm BLACK AND QUALIFIED!

Wise career move. I'd consider Pulaski or Lonoke County. I hear their S.O. admin appreciates good officers.

Well I am currently in class to become a reserve officer for a small city in Arkansas. I wanted to get my experience in that small city then bring it to my home in Jefferson County but now I might be better off serving a city that I don't even live in. I just want to be able to help people and make a difference but I want to be appreciated.

Why is there no "news" or "archives" about the "UAPB Jefferson County Sheriff escort trip to the Atlanta football game" or the "free surveillance around his home/home site" for several months after it was burned"? Who paid for these excursions and/or protection? Are these costs/expenses on the books? Can the general public get a copy of the requests for services, the payments made, and who made the payments?

Anyone can get the information from the Sheriff Office or public office. This is called a FOI (Freedom Of Information request.

If you where to send it off they are required to supply the information. You can even request a copy of all phone number dialed by the Sheriff or Employee on the county issued phone.

It would intresting to know how much money was spent by the county providing securty to the Sheriff's home while it was being rebuilt. They tried to say it was a volunter issue but I know for a fact it was an ordered job while Deputies where on duty. If they sat at the house for 24 hrs a day for 30 days at say 12.00 $ hour it would run a tab of $8640.00 and this is cheaper since most Deputies make well over 12 dollars an hour not to add in the payroll taxes paid on top of the reg pay.

It seem Sheriff "God" Robinson has ran off former K-9 Handler Donald Tucker, transfered Sgt. Larry Gragg and Investigator Todd Davis. Sgt. Gragg was transfer to the jail because he is running for sheriff and Todd Davis was not given a reason. All three are hard working street officers. Now who is protecting us!!!!

I WAS TOLD WHEN I WAS A LITTLE BOY THAT IT'S TWO THINGS U DON'T GIVE TO A BLACK MAN.ONE IS POWER AND THE OTHER ONE IS UR OLE LADY, BECAUSE HE WILL MISTREAT BOTH OF THEM.I'M BLACK AND AGREE WITH ALOT OF THOSE POST.IT SCHOCK THE HELL OUT OF ME WHEN I READ THAT TWO GOOD OFFICERS HAS BEEN TRANSFERED TO THE JAIL.THOSE TWO OFFICERS AER LIKE BLOOD HOUNDS, THEY GET THIER MAN AT ANY COST.THE DEPT.HEADS IN PINE BLUFF ARE ACTING LIKE IT SMELLS AROUND HERE, REAL BAD!!!

Actually we are ttold at the academy and in training that if both parties have any type of wounds that both parties be arrested and charged. So is this why the Sheriff called his nieghbor instead of 911 and possible get a deputy that would do his job or call state police that would not have conflict of intrest.
Also is funny that Gerald Robinson has fired several officers for affairs and domestics, yet he isnt even on adminstrative leave during the so called investigation, so he should be fired or step down if he dont plain on hiring the people back that he fired for samething.
And no one has mentiond how he did david harrell who was suspended with out pay for thirty days for having a wreck where he was avoiding a car that pulled out infront of him. He even had video evidence showing he was in the right yet gerald told him he didnt care, still got suspended, then had alagations against him from one of geralds suck ups that he was driving around drunk in his pratrol unit, which has yet to be proven with any type of evidence yet harrell was let go, and the other deputy mark harper who stated he observered it didnt do his job and do any test or take him to jail yet he got three days of wow. yet the female gerald had an arffair with has an accident and there never is an investigation even though there was several witness that stated she was go way over speed limit then hit another vehicle. then she recieved not displine but a new charger hmmm... Harrel was a good officer they lost too he was averging 6 to 8 DWI a Month by his selve now that he is gone the hole patrol dept. is avergin maybe 3 a month but the do have 300 to 500 senior checks. Not saying seniors are not important but how can protect the county when your told you will be wrote up if you dont have so many senior checks, ya get o grip.
Gearald is racist and he puts on a good front for public but behind doors its different storie, recently gerald had meeting with everyone after he moved larry craig to the jail to tell everyone that if he found out that anyone campaigned or voted for anyone but him they would no longer have a job. No if thats not wrong i dont know what is. And i was on of many deputies that was made to sit infront of his burnt house and slab for months, so whoever thinks it was on are on is wrong. the county payed us to be there on duty.
We also need to look at not voting for Mike Holcomb he has been be hind robinson since the first time he ran as he said from his on mouth so he could get the black vote. A county employee went to the County Judge and told him to look into robinson getting rid of all the good white officers. The judge comment was "its election year let it go". that employee didnt let it go and was let go two days later.
And if someone wants to say get your facts straight and i dont know what im talking about, dont waste your breath i do know been there and seen and heard it all.
We need to make sure Gerald doesnt win in 2010.
