A 60-year-old redwood and three dozen oaks may be chopped down to make way for a wider driveway and new parking lot at the Altaville Cal Fire station.

Do not remove any trees from the lot. If it takes 500,000$ to change the plan, go ahead do so. But it's a total waste to build a new station. Remodel the old one. Everyone loves it the way it is. Tree like these take a life time to grow to this size. You should be proud to have these in your county.
The Indians have a good sayin " When the forest dies, man dies" ,there's a way to solve this and I hope the people of the area will fight to save the Redwood tree. All the best for a great fall season.
