Why didn't the local paper report on this? Wenski covering up AGAIN for a priest:

The article states that Orlando diocese conducted an FBI background check. Good job! That is the equivalent of doing a background check on the mafia.

Why can't the transferring diocese be required to submit the priest's "confidential" file??? That is where all the "real" background information is.

Is this the first time a priest has been transferred with a clear FBI check only to find out that he has been accused of molesting half his diocese.

The Orlando diocese should not accept any "transfers" for "health or family reasons" without having full access to everything that has ever been written on the "transferee". But they know that....

We will continue to hear how they are "praying for all involved."

I am the husband of a grand niece of Delores Raucina, the woman that the so called "Father" Frank Mutsko preyed upon. Delores was simply an elderly widow that Mutsko found as an easy mark.
Delores was originally from Racine, WI, and moved to the Orlando area to be near close family members (she never had children). My wife and I were sad to see her leave, as we did try to visit her on a regular basis (we live in Chicago). She was always a very religious woman, which made it all that much easy for Mutsko to gain her trust. The family in Orlando recognized that Mutsko was taking advantage of her, but she wouldn't believe it. We were very surprised and glad to hear that she was coming back up to Racine. Unfortunately, she kept in touch with Metsko.
I met the SOB at Dolores's funeral for the first time. He officiated the funeral, and his manner there was very strange (he said that she adopted him as a son, that she was a mother to him, etc). Very overdramatic through the whole service.
I talked to him at the reception afterwards - extremely pompous and conceited. Not a comforting presence for the rightful family members present.
In total, he came out with close to a Million Dollars in cash and property from Dolores, including irreplacable family heirlooms that were at Dolores's house that he received in the will - stuff that he either sold or threw out when he quickly ransacked the house before selling it. Maybe that's the "Health Reason" for retirement - he threw out his back hauling away all of Dolores's possessions out of the house!
One thing that didn't come out in the story is that Mutsko was not a priest for very long. I believe he became a priest sometime in the 1990's. Who knows what he did before this time - if current actions are any indication, he was probably up to no good (stealing candy from babies, etc).
This man is as absolute criminal that undoubtly will prey again on some unsuspecting elderly widow. Frank Mutsko is an incredibly evil man, a blight on society that will suffer in Hell for all eternity, and doesn't deserve to freely walk the Earth to hunt for his next prey.
Beware!
BREWMASTERJOE- I'M AFRAID THAT I AM ALSO INVOVED IN A VERY SIMILAR SITUATION THAT YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED. IN MY CASE IT INVOLVES A MOTHER AND 2 AUNTS AGED 85, 91 AND 89 . THE PREIST IS ALMOST A GOD TO THEM. THEY HAVE ALREADY PURCHASRD A CAR FOR $27,000. AND MANY OTHER ITEMS I COULD LIST. NONE OF THESE WOMEN WOULD BE CONSIDERED WEALTHY. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE OLDEST AUNT IS THE MOST TAKEN WITH HIM AND IS ALSO THE MOST DOMINANT FORCE IN THE HOUSEHOLD. WE HAVE JUST ADDRESSED THIS SITUATION WITH OUR LOCAL BISHOP AND WANTED TO NOT DISCLOSE OUR INVOLVEMENT TO OUR FAMILY ONLY BECAUSE WE FEEL OUR MOM AND YOUNGER AUNT WILL SUFFER THE RAVAGES OF HELL FROM MY OLDER AUNT. WE INTEND TO PERSUE THE SITUATION BUT AREN'T REALLY SURE WHAT TO DO. GOD BLESS YOU.

Her Mother died of bone cancer, she took over the care of her father who had alzheimer's (he died within the last year) for 3 yrs. Her husband broke his leg and was out of work for a long time. Her brother was in a car accident and was incapacitated.

What would you do if you were so overwhelmed with financial responsibility and had no one to turn to for financial assistance. Don't be so quick to judge without having to live a day in her life.

Yes, it is wrong to steal but we never know what we are capable of in situations of extreme distress.

Married by the Father wrote:
I was married by Father Frank years ago. During the year engagement, he declined any "thank you" gifts. He was an open communicator & very engaging. I work as a psychologist & many clients attempt to give gifts as signs of gratitude & I always decline unless its baked goods during the holidays, for example, & leave them in the break room for others to enjoy. Many elderly clients are more inclined to give bigger gifts, maybe because their social circle have become limited & they feel connected to those who "helping," them during their last stage in life. Its would be shameful if he took advantage of her but my experience with him was more than wonderful. Dolores has now passed, let her soul rest. Ironically, It appears now that the family wants that inheritance...
Reading all of this scandalous news about Fr. Frank was terribly shocking. We were parishioners at St. James for many many years and though we did not know him extremely well, we found him to be very kind as a person and highly intellectual in his sermons.
All of the reports may be completely true, and I was beginning to become convinced of their validity until I came to this article:
http://www.todaystmj4.com/news/local/10897331...
One of the people quoted was a longtime St. James parishioner who, it turns out, is a member of the family that is outraged that Fr. Frank was given money, gifts and inheritance.
This woman quoted in the article is a very powerful force at St. James and apparently will stop at nothing that stands in her way. Several years ago, a singer at St. James was ostracized by this woman for organizing a funeral for the late TV weatherman Burd Bullock because he was a homosexual. The singer told me that this powerful parishioner was very offended by this funeral and threatened to pull her financial support for the church if they dared to oppose her (I recall that the ceremony happened anyway).
Now add Fr. Frank to this cast of characters: an outspoken, modern-day priest who had lived in the secular world and had contemporary opinions that may have put him at odds with some fellow priests, and traditional parishioners. Plus, Fr. Frank was a very attractive, distinguished looking man who we have learned that this parishioner had made advances which he rebuffed. Shades of Potiphar's wife.
I could not link to the video, so perhaps I totally in the wrong. Fr. Frank may not be at all what he seemed and may be a treacherous person. However, I cannot help but comments after reading the previous post suggesting that the family may have wanted the inheritance.
Also interesting to note is that when my family and I knew Fr. Frank at St. James, we invited him to dinner and he refused because he did not want to cause any controversy with other parishioners would might be slighted if he did not dine with him. We thought this was understandable at the time, but unusual since many priests agree to dine with parishioners once in a while. Knowing the searing parishioner politics he was involved in, it does not seem strange at all.
Just some things to think about.

I could not agree more. We all go through our adversities...and Karen ,unlike many people belonged to a community that would have offered a gracious hand if she needed it! I've never seen Karen want for anything, or be anywhere close to the lows that other family members have faced...and I know them well! The Grandparents helped build that church in many ways for many years, and I TOO am truly sorry for the impact this situation has had.

Frank Mutsko is currently residing in Ottawa Hills (in Toledo), Ohio, at the "Stratford in the Hills Condominium" building (on Bancroft, Ottaw Hills), consisting of approximately 43 condo units, overwhelminghly owned and occupied by extremely senior citizens, who because of their age are in various stages of physical and mental deterioration. Frank Mutsko managed to gain the confidence of these senior citizens and got himself elected to the Presidency of the Board of Directors of this condominium development building! It is curious that Frank Mutsko would position himself close to extremely elderly people who for the most part "have money." God help these elderly people.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Sagittarius

You still prefer to be in a world of your own, in which nothing nasty is happening, but at least you're feeling a little more realistic than you were yesterday. It's a perfect day for visiting somewhere beautiful, peaceful or relaxing, or for going to the cinema or an art gallery. But it will be difficult to get up the energy for any prolonged Christmas shopping.
