Over the years the load of sewerage has increased due to the increase in the number of homes hooked into the Monteagle sewer operation.
Sewer Plant 1 was built in the 1970's. The capacity of the Sewer Plant may have been extremely overloaded. Over the years with the increase in the number of homes hooked into the Monteagle Sewer, the old system may have be completely neglected, with the local city officials thinking it would handle the mass amounts of waste from the homes in the town of Monteagle. The City of Monteagle, should have new sewer plants built that can handle the waste from the homes hooked into the system. After this even the citizens of Monteagle might wake up and as Mayor Rollins and the City Alderman what is going on and hold then accountable for the neglect that has taken place over the years. Mayor Rollins has been the Mayor of Monteagle off and on since the early 1990's. Mr Rollins being a plumber by trade should have some knowledge of sewer tanks being overloaded and causing stress on the design of the structure. |
