Assemblymen Float Plans to Cope with Rising Fuel Costs

Two upstate New York Assemblymen are pushing for legislation that they say will ease the burden of rising fuel prices, particularly for truckers.

That's all fine and good for truck drivers, but what about the person who drives 20-30 miles daily to work? Doesn't sound like it's going to help everyone else out...

Sarah, how much of the food you eat, clothes you wear, materials you build your home with...let me rephrase, how much of the things you put your hands on everday, do you think are TRANSPORTED to you?

Either something gets done about the price gouging of truckers and others or the truckers will have no choice but to refuse loads with New York State destinations and do it for about a week. The prices at the pump do NOT reflect the law of supply and demand, despite what the oil companies say. These people work hard to put food on everybody's table and what are the big OIL executives and Wall sTreet manipulators doing ? Perhaps having one big cocaine party! That's my impression of the Wall Streeters and OIl Execs.

Perhaps it is time for a nationwide general strike where all the transport workers and all other groups of workers walk off the job and stay off for a week. This lawless administration has committed too many crimes in the White House and let Corporate America practically get away with murder. The stuff that can get a revolution started and a president strung up the way the Italians strung up Mussolini during WWII. And to think our brave men fought the Nazis only to end up with one in the White House!
