We can all see that even with the state of the economy that political "leaders" really don't care about the middle class. Look around...taxes keep going up and so do their 6 figure salaries.

I travel between Albany and Hudson everyday. The last toll hike I stopped using the thruway on the way up to work and saved nearly $30 a month. Now I'll also stop using it for the trip home and save another $30 a month, I can get at least a tank and a half of gas for that.

It's ridiculous, the thruway managers will probably get a pay increase in their salary. So many of us can't see our families as often as we'd like because of highway robbery. It's terrible

The Taconic parkway is a beautiful drive. Just watch out for the Troopers. I'll be using it from now on.

Before the thruway that everyone pays to run used to be side roads. We need to find them again. My husband (a truck driver) has discovered them again since the last 10% hike.

How much more of these TAX INCREASES Are we going to stand for. I call for a Working class revolt and strike. Shut down the state and federal goverments operations for a day Nobody go to work take the loss in pay. It might be worth it.

Lets celibrate!! I think its great. Actually, they should penelize these "commuters" with a heafty fee. The Thruway is for TRAVELERS only! This is what it was made for. Local traffic needs to be cut down by hikes and penilties and they drive like crap.

Another increase, I think the thruway is going to loose a lot more then they think they are going to gain. I know that I am going to avoid using the thruway if at all possible and I am going to instruct all of my drivers to do the same.

The state workers get all these nice days off with pay

NY taxes and tolls are the worst in the country. When will this stop? If the increases continue we will be forced to move out of state, just to survive! Very sad indeed!
