1 Those I've met are good individuals who are conscientious about always trying to do a good job. |

i have mixed feelings. some good, some bad... kinda like anywhere ya know. i have been pulled over for doing nothing a couple of times. once for simply driving through the daylight donuts parking lot because i didnt realize they were open on sunday mornings and another time for who knows what. im a law abiding citizen and respectful to the police force so i expect the same in return. there are a few good cops in this town though.

1 You are realy one to be talking. At least the other one on here was a college grad. I did not see any unsupported accusations on that post. All I read was a personal opinion. You have yours and they have theirs. |

1 There are always improvements that can be made I agree, but for the most part CPD I honestly believe does a good job and for the most part keep the idiots who live here in check, the rest of the law biding people Thank them for that. And as far as any cop on the force being a bad apple, he will weed himself out of a job if in fact he is screwing up. |

1 It's sad that a few bad apples do ruin the trust for the force. I have no doubts that within the coming months, those bad apples will begin to fall a little further from the tree. Coffeyville needs a restored sense of security and trust in their law enforcement officers. To those officers that are in their uniforms for the right reasons-thank you. |

1 I have to agree with you on this one. He was a very good police officer and someone who truely loved his job. He was good at what he did and always put his whole heart into it - I can only hope another department is lucky enough to pick him up! I think CPD is a good department. I am sure it, like any other, has it's downfalls, but I think they do great with what they have. People have the wrong impression that a police officer should be perfect in every way and that just isn't possible. They are only human just like the rest of us and they do and will make mistakes just like the rest of us. I for one feel very honored to have these upstanding men and woman stand up for us and protect us in our time of need. They have a tough job and the pay is very low for what they do. As with any business I am sure there are a few that don't take the job seriously, but those ones will get their walking papers eventually. What you have to look at is the officers that have been there for many years and they great job they have done and continue to do. Are they perfect? NO. But are any of us either? NO. We all from time to time make bad judgement calls, or do things in the moment that later we realize we shouldn't have. But until we walk in the shoes of another we can't judge them. I doubt I could deal with even half of what they deal with on a daily basis and still be able to think straight. Some of the things they have to see, and choices they have to make have to be very difficult, but I appreciate them for all that they do. I think that ALL of this citys emergency responders are wonderful and stand behind them as they keep up the good work! |

the ones mentioned seem to be the ones everybody brings up and agrees on.

4 I thank you for that, very seldom do officers get a compliment for what officers have done. I have often wondered what happened to you and how you were doing. You were just going through some bad times and I am glad to hear that your doing okay. I had a friend call me and tell me that someone put something on here. Take care and you know where I am if you need to get hold of me. |

1 That's all very interesting, sonny. Now why don't you just turn out the light, j*erk off and go to sleep? |
