Just what I was looking to buy for Mother's Day, a $600 handbag. Do you people live in reality?

I would think that an average M-Day gift would be about $50-$75, how about an article about things in that price range.

This article was a waste of my time.

$350 for 4 meals for 2 people? We spend less than that a month for groceries to feed two people breakfast lunch and dinner. Sure, we have to cook it ourselves, which isn't that much of a time suck if you plan right.
For those of us in the lower tax bracket, how about a nice day at the Botanical Gardens, spending actual TIME with mom. Sure, it's like $12 to park, but it's beautiful and won't run you into the poor house.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who thought this whole article was completely off base. Even taking Mom to a nice brunch is not in the average family's budget. I love the idea of the Botanical Gardens! Happy Mother's Day!

What a mother really wants: not for her daughter or son to spend $600 on a necklace, or $354 on a handbag. What a ridiculous and unrealistic article. I'll be making my mom a mix cd of songs that make me think of her, and tulips from my garden. Total cost will be about 30 cents, but the thought, as the commercial goes, is priceless.
