Alpine Village needs an upgrade, even tho it appears it wasn;t properly planned out.. It has been going downhill for years, but still was a family favorite. Pls bring it back so that we can do the chicken dance again.

I'm related to the Rotters, so this news is truly shocking. I'm sure there's more to this story (board room politics, power struggles) that led to this debacle. I'd be surprised if we didn't see a lawsuit in the weeks to come. That way we can all partake in the exchange of dirty laundry. Business as usual, I suppose.

How people can continue to patronize this place is beyond me. The kitchens at Alpine Village Inn and at the Deli repeatedly have gotten low rating from the health department. Although the are currently at an "A" rating, they have both had low "B" and "C" ratings within the last year.

If you're going to upgrade anything, upgrade the kitchens!

I was disapointed about them getting ride of the batting cages. I used to go there when I was a kid know I am 32. I was taking my kids there last year. I just found out about a month ago that they closed it. Well at least the Beergarden is not closing, then I'd really be pissed. I like going to Alpine Village during Oktoberfest.

"What they did to these people is ridiculous", referring to the swapmeet vendors, what about what has been done to the actual businesses in the village because of a swapmeet. I have seen many of the stores go out of business over the years because of the swapmeet. Alpine Village once was a place where you could take your kids for enjoyment. In my opinion the swapmeet cheapen the old world charm that should have been Alpine Village. I

I went to that swapmeet once. Tons of pirated music and movies. Not much else. Wish it would stay gone.

I've done the chicken dance once or twice there and can't wait for the Fest.

I met my girlfriend at Alpine Village and have been back with her a couple of times for lunch and drinks. She's a Berliner that is now local German girl that used to work there and any loss of Alpine Village I'm sure would sadden her. Let's hope this works out for everyone's mutual benifit.

I wish I had be money on the time the village would be done and how many violations they broke plushow many times their permits would be pulled. I would be a rich man and would have put Hans in the poor house....

Just hope the Inn doesn't close. Where else can all these divorced asian girls do their gold-digging with lonely old men?

I hope the deli will still be open. It's the only place I know to get Vegeta and good Hungarian sausage. The dinner/dancing has gone down hill bad lately. About 5 years ago, it was still fun to celebrate a birthday with kids, or have a company Christmas party. Now, just like one poster said, the lonely Asian goldiggers have taken over, and the food is horrible. Did I mention they raised the prices?

I spent a lot of time there when I was a kid.Playing the video games in the trailers.I also remember the little boat ride, carousel and
roller coaster. It is a shame the batting cages are now gone. Now that I am older I enjoy the Beer garden.I must admit it would be nice to see a newly built one but I still enjoy the one in place right now.I wonder if they did build a new one would the how much more would they raise the beer prices?????$15.00 probably!

i personally think alpine did wrong to the vendors by not letting them know at least let them know ahead of time so they can make other arrangements i was told by a lot of vendors that they felt betrayed for the reason that they took there money for the month and nothing was told to them to find out the following day that it was being closed i personally think that they owe alot to the vendors they are the ones that bring in the clients to alpine either the swapmeet ot the restraurant

I love the Village and without the Rotters I'm not going back! I'm on a steinholding team and don't think we'll participate if Teri's gone. She doesn't know me well, but I always see here there, and she always thanks me for coming. I'm going to miss the Sunday brunches..........

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Leo

If you look closely, you'll see a black cloud hovering over a loved one's head. They'll find the smallest excuse for losing their temper or throwing a tantrum, so tiptoe around them or try to jolly them out of their filthy mood. If the situation continues you may decide that it would be better to get the inevitable argument out of the way than to pussyfoot around them any longer.
