Yes, at the turn of the century (in about 1901) it was an issue insofar as Mrs. White suggested/ recommended a blood transfusion for a man, but at the time it was a difficult procedure.
Quoting from the book Medical Missionary pp. 286-7, "There is one thing that has saved life -- an infusion of blood from one person to another; but this would be difficult and perhaps impossible for you to do. I merely suggest it." |
