I can't believe these responses are still occurring. I have been busy laying Darren to rest (having funerals in two states) and trying to get back to normal. For those who have said to "leave God out of it", let me be the first to say GOD is always in it. Darren was a loving man, from child to adult. Of course, he did wrong things. We all do wrong things (I certainly do.) But, I am so grateful that God forgives (my words and my deeds). "We have all come short of the glory of God." We all have a season (read your bible). Darren had his, I have mine and you will have yours. Friends who have said such loving things, thanks for your kind words about the dead. Others, I pray that God will soften your hearts. Listen to what I have said. God forgives. Take this time right now and ask God for forgiveness for the cruel things that you have said. None of us are promised tomorrow. Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Let the dead rest. FYI This country "bumpkin" has a legitimate Masters degree.

Chip lied and stole people's hard earned money for nothing more than to live in huge homes and drive fancy cars. He stayed entangled court cases for numerous charges from rape to refusing to vacate a home. I saw him accept 25,000 from a man with NO intent of paying it back only to pay the rent for the home in Buckhead. Murder is EXTREME but that is what comes with a "street life" i.e. stealing, lying. Who needs a house that costs 25k per month when you can't afford it?

I have not posted since last year when everyone was talking about Chip supposedly having AIDS and God knows what else. I used to come to Chip's house and clean twice a week, and while I did not not necessarily like what I saw in his business dealings, nor did I like the way he attempted to get "up close and personal" with me, I set a standard right at the onset, and made it perfectly clear that he hired me to perform a service that did not include cozying up to me, and just because I was a "sister" that cleaning his house did not include any type of fringe benefits. Although he did not like that, he respected that. Next, when Chip tried to play me and run game about my pay, and talk circles around me about his "mega deals" and my meager $150, and the fact that he wasn't trying to run out without paying me, I made it plain, to pay me or I would not return. I say all this to say, that we must be responsible for ourselves. Chip did what he did because he could. We allowed him to get away with his actions by not holding him accountable. While this does not excuse his behavior, it certainly does require us to examine our motives each time we handed over our money or believed his lies. While ultimately Chip was responsible for his actions, we must examine ourselves and repent for our motives in our dealings with him. I am so sorry for Darren's family's loss and I pray that the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. And to all of those who have posted here, I pray that in the midst of your hurt, pain, and anger, you will find peace and forgiveness for Darren so that your prayers will not be hindered. The Word of God says that love covers a multitude of sin, and I'd hate to see your prayers and blessings blocked because of unforgiveness harbored in your hearts. I pray that just is served in this matter so that your souls can find rest. Be blessed.
