That should have been a given from the start.

So that's what Ronald Reagan's "trickle down theory" we heard so much about back in my youth came to?
It was a massive con job put together by master con artists David stockman Reagans cheif financial officer and the Ol Gipper himself who sold most of America on the idea that if you give giant tax-breaks to the wealthy that they will " trickle it down" to the average American. They took these tax-breaks and like hungry Hogs at the feeding pen used them to set up plants in Mexico and China thus depriving the people these breaks were intended to help. Reagan did'nt give a damn after he got it thru and allowed his fellow man to be screwed. He also orchestrated bills thru Congress that removed tariff taxes. These taxes were meant to keep manufacturers here in the States. If you wanted to produce a product in China and sell it in America you had to pay a large tariff tax, so you may as well make it here.Once you remove the tariffs then American workers would have to work at nearly the same wage as Chinese,impossible no? And don't buy these average republicans who will tell you it's labor unions. Columbus mill workers worked dirt cheap and they were'nt unionized as well as several southern states who lost out to unreasonable low wages paid to Mexicans and Chinese. These wealthy republicans don't resent paying a minumum wage! How greedy is that?

And really, that should be a given for anyone, Republican or Democrat.

Democrats want workers to make $80/hr and pay 80% in taxes, to fund social programs to herd the public into creating dependants.
The Republicans want workers to make as little as possible(so there corporate shareholders keep the profit) and pay as few a % in taxes as possible, so Democrats can't fund social programs and fund regulatory agencies, limiting Republicans from leagally stealing the taxpayers money.
Either way the Citizen looses.
But, then again, How many Citizens really know who in the hell they are voting for? Too many people just want to be entertained by DWTS, Soaps, and Sitcom TV.

That's a great post.

Might quibble a little bit, but the ideas have merit.

While normal Americans sit and mindlessly watch America's Bachelor and Bachelorette,
and Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,
the Right Wing and Left Wing Wackos took over the parties.

Yup, My numbers might be a little off. Democrats could suggest,$100 per hour and 100% in taxes.

When is someone going to put a spike through this thread's heart and let it die. Talk about getting off subject! What does this have to do with who we support for U.S. Senate two years ago, and who cares?

No what's the point of having an election when both major candidates are the same candy in different rappers.

<quoted text>The truth is the truth no matter how long it takes for some people to finally realize it. If the Repubs hadn't pillaged the economy and started an unnecessary war with made up intelligence, and deregulated banks and Wall Street for the benefit of their friends, and put in place an unfunded prescription drug plan that costs taxpayers a trillion dollars a year (every year)... and more, then, yes, it might not be appropriate to "blame" tham for the current economic crisis. But, they did all that and more and will do it again if they should regain enough control to once again rape America. Not only should Georgia's Senators be "sent to the showers", but so should the Republican Congressmen and the Republican Governor.
Yes, I am most assuredly a Democrat, and suprise to you, I'm white, and make nearly 200k/year... I wouldn't mind paying the tax if they would go ahead and repeal the Bush tax cuts. That's the only way out grandchildren will possibly be out of debt. If the Republicans regain control they have ABSOLUTELY NO PLAN for reducing debt or deficit, or anything else... but they will raise not only those, but also their own bank balances and those of their "fat cat" friends.
Theirs a "social Issue" at work here and no amount of Red Neck rhetoric can change that.
Great post.

Or the insane ranting of an Obama Lover. How can any reasoning person not realize he has done nothing and has no plans of doing anything. Insane is to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Let's see:

The Republicans
Allow 09/11;
Fail to kill bin Laden - the guy responsible for 09/11;
Invade Iraq, costing now $2 Trillion Dollars,(a nation that had nothing to do with 09/11 - and Iran's sworn enemy), and don't pay for it;
Bomb and occupy Afghanistan at a cost of $800 Billion - and don't pay for it;
Create $1 Trillion expense for Medicare Part D - and don't pay for it;
Create $1 Trillion in Farm Subsidies for Agribusiness - and don't pay for it;
Create $1.2 Trillion debt to subsidize multinational corporations through the Export-Import Bank- and don't pay for it;
Subsidize oil company profits - and don't pay for it;
Deregulated and destroyed the banking system- and didn't pay for it;

And on and on.

Yep, why the hell don't those Democrats correct all our Republican disasters faster;

I know, let's put the inmates in charge of the asylum again, it worked so well last time.

Obama:
"I will cut the deficit in half" - raises it from $10 trillion to $16 trillion.
"Lower the unemployment rate to 5%." It has stayed over 8% for 43 months, finally dropped to 7.8%- but wait, California didn't get it's stats in time - how convenient
"If somebody wants to build a coal powered plant, they can. It's just that it (my regulations) will bankrupt them."
"I happen to be a proponent of a single payer (government run) universal healthcare program."
Solyndra - cost taxpayers $535 million

Bottom line - his policies will continue to cripple this economy. We need someone with a clue about how the real world functions and how free enterprise and capitalism will bring this economy back - if we can just get the govt pinheads out of the way. As long as businesses are unsure of how the govt is going to tax them for daring to try to succeed (and create jobs), they are going to sit on any capital they might otherwise risk. If you want a job or know someone who wants to work - vote Republican. There are a lot of businesses out there just waiting to see the outcome, and if Romney is elected, they will start expanding even before his inauguration.

With each new piece of information about the Benghazi tragedy, it becomes more and more evident that 4 Americans were left defenseless in order to prop up the lie that al Qaeda was crumbling. As security staff and Ambassador Stephens himself requested additional security, they actually had security weakened. The lie prepetuated by the Obama administration for 2 weeks about the stupid video is an insult and the quote that "the cover up is worse than the crime" would apply if not for the fact that four men lost their lives needlessly. And now we know the state department had real time video of the attack and did nothing.
