Kristen Hall Exits Sugarland

Singer-songwriter Kristen Hall is leaving Sugarland to concentrate on her songwriting.

Whoever you are that posted this, you are right. It does stink that Kristen left Sugarland. She was a great person inside and out and i will miss seeing her with them. She is an individual and that is what made her Kristen and the perfect person to be one third of a wonderful trio/duo. I agree that this really blows that Kristen left although she does not like being in the limelight. Kristain and Jennifer love the spotlight so I think Kristen will still do alot of writing for Sugarland. That Jennifer is a very talented woman, sometimes just hearing her sing makes me cry, happy tears, you know with pride. I will miss Kristen, she was the silent force behing Sugarland. I wish her well. We will hear from her again, with her unbelievable songwriting.

I miss Kristen's harmonies! It is not the same only hearing Jennifer. I hope that Kristen will still write most of what Sugarland sings. Otherwise I do not think they will be successful.

I am wondering if she quit the band due to her weight. I was glad to see a plus size woman on stage who could play and sing. If she did I think that is sad because I really like to see something that didn't look like a string bean.

I, too, will miss Kristen. Her songs were a big part of Sugarland's success, and her harmony
softened Jennifer's strong, but sometimes too harsh, voice. When a group becomes more popular, and, therefore, more in the spotlight, it does cause one to wonder if someone in Sugarland's advisory thought that Kirsten's weight was more important than her talents. What a world. Dusty, I have no idea of your actual age, but you need to grow up sometime.

I love all of the people with negative things to say! I have a bunch of friends who talk about nothing but Sugarland and it is so freaking annoying. They are okay, but nowhere near as talented as other singers!!

I know this is old, but I had to say that I know Jennifer personally, and while her accent is strong, it is most definitely authentic.

Been to 5 Sugarland concerts without Kirsten and the show is much better than before. Much more interaction between the two. They really have a stage presence now.

I have to reply ot the accent posting also: Jennifer is from south Georgia and the accent is REAL. Kristen is a fantastic songwriter and although I think Sugarland will be successful without her, her songwriting will be missed!
