How about a spin on the popular Obama sign that would say: Baker for Change: That's all you'll have left in your pockets. Also check out the new Topix story I posted from the DDN about the money springboro city is giving to the miamisburg school district.

if my memory serves - Baker is only on-board for one more year unless the BOE shovels more $$$ to him and the HS principal has sold his house here in town so some change is coming but as long as we have the BOE we won't be impressed

The City of Springboro appears to think Boro schools are over-funded and seeking a needy candidate for their Money. BTW 2 Ohio schools made the Best 1000 in nation and their names don't begin with SP - Lets have a garage sale of useless Computers- high tech teaching aids - and - bad educators and start over with a pencil reading writing and math before its too late

interesting judgements spam: Main Entry: 1spam Pronunciation:\ˈspam\ Function: noun Etymology: from a skit on the British television series Monty Python's Flying Circus in which chanting of the word Spam overrides the other dialogue Date: 1994 : unsolicited usually commercial e-mail sent to a large number of addresses clueless ?? how I was repeating published reports Boro Council is considering it - DDN reported the two schools and they are not Boro - as for disgreeing with my idea - I have no problem with it but how about expressing some alternatives but keep reading and expressing your opinion

Found it very interesting. Thought Baker wanted more tax money to MAINTAIN our excellent schools and called them "top in the nation" - I guess not. Now I am thinking all the increases in tax (up to this point) have been going to Baker and his pet projects, more tech toys,$$ for special elections, etc. Not toward better education. It is all starting to make sense...

DDN is beating the BORO drum again !! School board has enough $$ to pay for "special" election but if it doesn't work - watch what cuts are made. how about a 10% pay cut across the board for admin/teachers/staff hahahaha - sorry I almost got that out without laughing - cut transport/pay to play/fees will raise.

Yet another DDN story on the issue. It is posted in the Springboro Topix, and can be found here: http://www.daytondailynews.com/n/content/oh/s... That is an interesting point boroman54. You always hear about the same old cuts, but never about pay cuts for admin & teachers. With all the layoff and union contract issues in the area, pay cuts are almost always on the table as part of a bigger plan. Why not here? It should at least be on the table until they actually get rid of some fat somewhere else.

Yes but the BOE's stance will be the Union (teacher/staff/etc contract) is at point - Yes Virginia there is a santa claus and it is being hired by a school system. Just look at the number of questionable teachers that are hired after an event at their old school - that coach in Monroe is an example - what is there to disgree with firing him -

Boroman54 - also the post before what does the reference to the coach in Monroe about? Is he now a Boro coach and if so what did he do? I am ignorant about a lot of these things. I know we have problems and I at some point will post my personal experience with this administration and their vindictiveness and dishonesty. In the meantime I am very interested in other people's experience.

I am sorry again - I was using the Monroe teacher as an example of weak ability of any BOE to control any aspect of the school system that they adminster. in this specific case the example has no base in the springboro system - Just an example of failure of our Ohio system of education and how we need to alter the Status Quo of the "ole" boy system
