This statement is a straight up lie! You must be HUNT to actually believe what you're saying. I have seen numerous people being in the wrong place at the wrong time... not even personally involved and they pushed them into making them feel like they would have to give names in order to be cleared for even the smallest crime.Then they turn around and charge them anyway. I've seen it done in the opposite where no names were given and the person go away with less than the other who was a narc. They get people who aren't fully educated with the law and push them, convincing them they will get a lot harsher of a punishment if they don't narc. The only busts HUNT has ever had was from NARCS. They would be sitting with the state police at 7-11 playing Jerky swords at 1am if they didn't have the narcs. It is pathetic. What are they even doing being involved in sex crime cases? What does that have to do with Narcotics? Crimes are getting dropped for HUNT making mistakes that HUNT shouldn't even be involved in in the first place!

HUNT are VERY small time and their stats prove it. They turn bs into publicity to get more funding. We need to fund a REAL taskforce who will rid our streets of heavy drugs. Not those bumbling boobs.

Huron Undercover Narcotics Team Commander Del Putnam has been removed from his post amid an internal investigation.

Alpena County Prosecutor Ed Black, who chairs the HUNT Board of Directors, says the investigation stems from information received by a HUNT officer. The information was turned over to authorities at the Michigan State Police Alpena Post, then to the appropriate authorities at the state level.

Black added that he the investigation against Putnam is still pending, but he will not be returning to Alpena.

Authorities have not released any further details as the investigation is ongoing.

Putnam became HUNT Commander last year.

He has been in law enforcement for 20 years, 18 of which were with the Michigan State Police.

He succeeded Interim commander Detective/Sergeant Mike Hahn, who served as an interim commander after former Commander Detective Lt. Rick Schultz retired a year ago

WOW can anyone on here tell me what they have done lately to stop anything? Besides run their dumb mouths about nothing?? Its always easy to sit on your ass and blame the "stupid" cops, but they are actually the ppl that will be there when you call and take a bullet, "yeah sure" will you do that for me??? If so I would like your number cause I will be calling you in the middle of the night! And btw Im not a cop lover by any means, but some ppl have a job to do and really for the pay and what they have to deal with,,,not really worth it! So be respectful!

Respect is earned, not taken. And we are not talking about regular cops, we are talking about the HUNT team. Are you the man that use to be in charge of HUNT?
