No “fantasy”– adult store busted by HUNT
Submitted by Phil Heimerl on December 9, 2011 – 6:12 amNo Comment.
The Huron Undercover Narcotics Team (HUNT) has busted the Fantasies Unlimited store in Alpena for selling “bath salts.”

“Bath salts” are a man-made recreational drug, not the type of salts you might use in your bathtub. They can mimic the effects of cocaine, LSD and methamphetamine and were banned by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) a couple of months ago.

D/Lt. Del Putnam said Fantasies had been selling the bath salt known as “Incredible Hulk” for some time and was a “main cash flow” for the store, which specializes in adult toys other sexual novelties.

A substantial quantity of the drug was seized from the store along with a significant amount of cash proceeds from the sale of the drugs.

Putnam said no arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing. The operator of the store and his associates could face criminal charges of operating a continuing criminal enterprise – a 20-year felony.

HUNT worked in conjunction with the SANE drug enforcement team on the investigation, which included raids of two other Fantasies stores in the region that were also selling bath salts. The Alpena County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the investigation.

So they have been selling the bath salt known as “Incredible Hulk” for some time and was a “main cash flow” for the store, But nothing was done until it was posted on here!!! How long would they have let them keep selling the stuff?

Michigan bans designer bath salts drug

LANSING, Mich.(AP)- The Michigan Legislature has passed a bill banning dangerous designer drugs.

Abuse of these recreational drugs sold as "bath salts" has sent 65 people to hospitals in Michigan over the past six months and caused at least one overdose death, according to a federal report released in May.

Lawmakers passed the measure Thursday and sent it to Gov. Rick Snyder for his signature.

Many people buy the drug online and inject it, although some people snort or eat it. The drug may contain a number of synthetic chemicals that are strong stimulants. It can cause increased heart rate, chest pain, dizziness, delusions, panic attack, nose bleeding
and nausea.

That was an article by the associated press, not the written law. the written law bans a compound with a name like juh-2356 im sure that's not it exactly but they alter it slightly and it becomes juh-2357. which is legal so they spray it on bath salts and write not for human consumption and tada legal. do some research first been there

The only ones that I can find on the web that are not illegal in Michigan are C Original powder, and white lady powder? You would think the hunt team would have tested the incredible hulk to see if it was legal, before busting the store?

They were busted, it was on the news LOL
They were raided but the HUNT team which did not do their research because the chemical that was in "bath salts" was NOT in the incredible hulk! The "incredible hulk was not even a bath salt it was a brightening agent! They have no charges pending because they were wrong about it all! The news is not a reliable source!

The "adult" novelty store south of town is now peddling synthetic amphetamines that are putting users in the hospital. What kind of sick horrible people sell poison to their customers? These supposedly legal drugs are lethally dangerous. What can we do to stop Fantasies and other local stores from selling drugs?
The people at fantasies are not the one to blame. The people to blame are the ones putting it into their body not even knowing what it is. It is sold as a brightening agent not a medication, maybe you should think about things a little more before you stereotype people! It really makes me mad that you think you know what you are talking about because you read the news, guess what they do not know what they are talking about either!
