Gillett Woman dying because Government cuts off ALL Benefits

I can’t for the life of me figure out why we even have politicians. Someone tell me a good thing our representatives have done for the people in recent years. Congress has the lowest approval rating in US History. The Senate is so committed to their special interests that the people they swore to represent are being left out in the cold. I want to tell of one example.

A new discovery could change future diagnosis and therapy of depression.

Researchers from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine have discovered that a change in the location of a protein in the brain could serve as a biomarker for depression, allowing a simple, rapid, laboratory test to identify patients with depression and to determine whether a particular antidepressant therapy will provide a successful response.

The research is published in the March 12 issue of the Journal of Neuroscience.

NOW With that said. How do poor people even get this type of help. Depression can Kill especially when Medicaid is the one pulling the plug on a persons life

Our Representatives are all saying the same thing these days, Lets take Money from the top 2 % and redistribute it so that the middle class can get some relief.
I havent evn known any one up there in Middle Class land, Not since I returned from Up North , Home to Arkansas.

Daphne has cut her morphine to half but has enough for 7 days. In her pain she would risk illicit drugs, At least, she says, in jail she will get a Bologna sandwich and Health Care.

hey i agree with everything you wrote and could add to the fact of people in gillett that are getting disability that doesnt even deserve it nor do they need it they are way to lazy to get off there asses and work. or they are working for cash and collecting there checks from the goverment. my mom is really sick and doing without a lot thanks to our wonderful goverment she no longer get the proper meds she needs because they cannot afford it. but you can make this a promise if my mom dies or commits suicide i will sue the goverment and the ssi worker in pine bluff that caused every bit of this...

Advocacy group says one Arkansan dies daily from no insurance

LITTLE ROCK - An advocacy group says a lack of health insurance contributes to the death of one Arkansan each day, on average. The Families USA report, released in Washington, D.C., says uninsured adults are more likely to be diagnosed with diseases when it is too late to be cured.



People without insurance often forgo regular checkups.

"Health insurance is an important factor when people decide if they should seek treatment and without it, too many people are skipping life-saving, preventative care," Rep. Marion Berry said in remarks prepared for delivery later Thursday.

According to the report, 390 working-age Arkansans died in 2006 because of a lack of health insurance.

I will pray for Mrs. Daphne, Staphnie, and the rest of the family. I have known Mrs. Daphnie almost my whole life, I am friends with her daughters and I don't want anything to happen to her, she is a great woman and she has put up with alot. What the government is doing is wrong, like staphnie said, there are several people in Gillett that are on disability and getting help from the government and they really don't need it. I would sure be happy to start one. I have wrote to hundreds of media outlets and political leaders today, one at a time. I asked all of them to post a comment here. You see how many people have. I still cant get a call in to Marion Berry. His website at Congress says his mail is basically to full to respond to . Its getting to be a big mess for the whole country and especially those in immediate need. I can see that It is getting close to Gods return.

Let me just say that I have had the honor to meet this very special lady and the opportunity to know her family. I find it very sickening to think that as a healthcare provider I MUST, as required by law, give proper and adequate treatment to an illegal alien, but we cannot provide hard working AMERICANS with the proper healthcare and supplies they require to survive. Heaven for bid someone purchase a reliable means of transportation in order to get them to and from the doctors visits, pharmacy, and other necessary trips which are required to live and survive another day, hour, minute, and second for that matter. I love my country and I am thankful to be an American and proud of my country, BUT I AM NOT proud of our government and their lack of interest in the health and well being of our true citizens, elderly, and terminally ill who rely on them the most. How can the government possibly pay for a woman to have 5 children by the age of 20 (yes, I have seen this situation before!) and have every single child taken away and STILL continue to give the dead beat mother money but not help an individual who is EXTREMELY ill and TRULY needs help?! I understand life isn't fair...but it's instances like this one that is TOATLLY unjust in EVERY aspect!!! Something MUST be done!!! Daphne Travels 100 miles each way to the hematology/oncology clinic in Little Rock. I dont know how she did it, Now She cant afford to do it. I respect her Doctor. Dr. Mendelsohn. He has talked to her by phone. I just wish he has enough influence to petition the State for immediate reinstatement of health benefits. see http://www.familiesusa.org/ . PS The Berry office reports they are assisting. not confirmed since the Social Security office is secretive. Daphne has gotten rid of her extra vehicle. she still hasnt been reinstated. I would love to be a Lawyer on what the SSI saw in Daphne that was against their Statement above, She is still terminally ill she is still totally disabled. Any Lawyer want to help her out with a law suit? I believe any person with a high school education could win in favor of Daphne in any court.
The Government can't take from your Rights and Liberties to qualify you for legal entitlements. Now if the people want they can have their Representatives to address the programs legalities and boudaries in Congress.

If anyone thinks socialized medicine for everyone in society is a good idea, consider this and a multitude of cases. The Government at anytime can determine you are a liability and use bureaucracy to delay access to benefits and may even penalize you in the process. The result is the same -- no care and potentially death.

Daphne got word it looks like she may get reinstated with ssi . They made conditions. One is that she doesnt draw from her death and burial insurance. the other is that she doesnt own anymore savings or property. Her husband could have made it easier by getting a divorce. This is what many people are resorting to. In other words to get socialized medicine you must swear to remain insolvent and obey Government rules. She still has a bill from SSI for $31,000 that they have gave second notice on . It was for alleged overpayment. There are too many rotten fish in this Country. Do folks realize how many people know the tricks and live off the Government for bogus reasons. They have sold their souls to the devil and I hope the devil I speak of doesnt become President this Fall.
