Request for family history

Can anyone send me any family history type information about my grandfather's family.
His name was Alfred A. Anderson.
My mother was Rose M. Anderson (McClure)
I know that the family moved from Minnesota in about 1906.
He owned: the Carson Hotel (dates unknown)
the General Store during Prohibition
He was postmaster (dates unknown)
Also my mother taught in a one room school house in the area in the 1920's I think. Any information about the school would be appreciated.
I was told by someone that the name of Carson was made up of parts of the names CARter and anderSON. Can anyone verify that?

MY GRAND PARENTS HOME STEAD IN CARSON . SEEM THE FARM WAS SOUTH EAST A FEW MILES. MY UNCLE , HOMER JOHNSON WAS KILLED IN GERMANY -FIRST WORLD WAR . AS A YOUNG PERSON THERE WERE PICTURES IN A LARGE BUILDING IN CARSON THAT SHOWED HIS FUNERAL GOING DOWN THE STREET OF CARSON , HORSE DRAWN , PEOPLE ON THE SIDE WORE WHITE MASKS , I WAS TOLD IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE FLU . IN THE MID 40S WE WOULD GO TO THE CEMETARY AND SYE AROUND HIS AND GRAMAS STONE , ANY ONE REMEMBER ANY THING ABOUT THIS .,
