Yum!
Hopefully they cam make enough so maple syrup is just as cheap as the imposters found on store shelfs. I wonder how many of the newly poor know how to make pancakes from scratch? Here...save some cash for your house payments...and stay out of the restruants eh! 1 cup of flour 1 tsp of baking powder 1/2 tsp of baking powder 1/2 tsp of salt (optional) 1 egg 1 cup of milk 3 tbsp of oil Real cheap eats...Enjoy! |

One very fond memory I had of my childhood was making maple syrup from the maple trees that were on the lot of my parent's house. It wasn't a very large lot (typical suburban) but we had about a dozen very large maple trees. We would put two or three taps in a trees and empty the buckets every morning and night and had a pot on the stove boiling it down. The ratio is about 50 gallons of sap to 1 gallon of syrup but when it was ready it was absolutely the best tasting thing I have ever eaten. We would boil some down enough until it crystallized and hardened into Maple Candy as well. So sweet it almost made your teeth hurt.

Whoa, I should clarify my comment before anyone gets offended. I simply meant for my comment to b a rather sarcastic comparison to the Canadian petroleum we import. I am very pleased for Mr. Rhynard’s good crop. |

Now all we have to do is figure out a way to burn it in a car.
